Mike Rumph was a 2001 kid. Kevin Beard was a 2001 kid. Ed Reed was a 2001 kid. They've all been here. Not gonna help.

Eye for talent? OK…I refer you to the fact that his eye for talent hasn't developed or recruited enough talent to beat Liberty or FAU or the other 3 "juggernauts" he played this season. What is his record against FAU since he got to FIU?

Fans need to face the fact that Butch is not the coach he used to be and Miami is not the program it used to be.


Butch at Miami changes nothing.

Even if we had the money, Urban would never coach at Miami. He has publicly said he does not like the lack of discipline in S. Florida players. He much prefers talent in other areas like Texas, S. Cal and elsewhere where the football IQs are much higher.

Also, Urban would not have the success he had at UF or OSU if he were to coach at Miami. Much in the same way Richt did not enjoy an average of 10 wins a season in Coral Gables.

People act like just a head coach is what it takes. Does Butch even have the connections to repeat his success again?
