In this climate it’s impossible for more than one Florida school to be elite at the same time. Too many vultures out of state picking recruits and those who want to stay are going to the clear cut flagship program of the state of Florida.

For FSU and Miami, yes. But UF was the defending champ that year.

We have a situation now in which both UF and FSU are at their lowest points in modern program history while the Canes set a record for program wins. If UM brings home the hardware, this will be the all-time greatest disparity between the University of Coral Gables and the 100,000 ****heads who look down their nose at it.
