When was the last time...

This year’s FSU score is so weird to see. Doesn’t look right lol.
It isn’t. We dominated them but took a Mario nap in the 4th quarter. And I don’t blame our players really. Mario told the players it was nap time. Run 3 plays on offense and punt until the games over. I don’t even know if we threw a pass after being up 28-3 in the 4th,

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’d start this offseason like if we’re down 2 touchdowns to each in-state rival.

Murder, murder, murder…
Part of me doesn’t blame Mario or Dawson for getting a little conservative at the end of games when we’re up by 2 scores. Look, I don’t want to take away anything from Beck. He had a fine season and made some excellent plays that helped lead us to a Natty. But in those “play from behind” type situations? He either throws a pick or throws 2 passes that should have been picked until he eventually throws a pick. Murder murder murder wasn’t so much his style. I’m not blaming him for the Natty loss because in my opinion we were very fortunate to even get another shot to take the lead, but that pick on the last drive was a bad one. Double coverage. Poorly thrown. And totally not necessary considering we had plenty of time to get in the endzone with 51 seconds left and 41 yards away. We could have gotten closer and maybe get into a situation like we did against Ole Miss where Beck had an option to take it in himself. Although that was probably unlikely.

Now next year with Mensah…I think he could be that murderer we seek

Never. We have a good five years of being the uncontested lord of Florida college football. Hopefully UF and FSU ***** up their next hires, too, and continue to struggle with the economics. I think we’ll be well into the 2030s before they are relevant again.

This would be great

The reaction from their fans has gone nuclear too! The mental gymnastics they’re doing to try to take shots at Miami is insane.
“You won 13 games and played for the title and picked up, arguably, the best qb and wr in the portal, but you rent your stadium!”

FSU might be the fifth best program in the state and FIU might have an issue with that statement. UF and UCF are in a dog fight for third and fourth.

In all my years watching college football, Miami has never been down as bad as Florida is right now. They’ve never even been close to as bad as FSU is right now. In my lifetime Miami has three 5 win seasons. That’s including the year I was born, 1979. They’ve never been worse than. 5-7.

FSU has had five seasons of five wins or less since 2018! They have averaged 6 wins per season in that span and it’s only that high because they had a 13 win season during that run of garbage.

UF has had three 4 win seasons since 2013 including last year. Miami hasn’t had one in my lifetime. During that same span, they’ve had a 5 win season and two 6 win seasons. They have only had one winning season since 2021. They have an overall losing record this decade. Their best season in the 2020’s is 8-4. They’re not quite as terrible as FSU but that’s just the lowest bar you could possibly have for your program. In a way they’re actually a bigger failure because while FSU’s failure has been entirely under two coaches, UF continues to go through the cycle of hiring and firing a guy every three years. They’re actually trying to get better and just failing miserably

FSU is in a deeper hole than UF for sure, but do benefit from playing in a pathetic ACC, so if they get their act together, they can put bunches of wins together a little easier than UF.

Nah. Things can change quick in cfb nowadays. We gotta operate like they’re always on our heels.

I meant it as a figure of speech in hopes of burying the other programs by leaning into the current perceived lead we have on them.
