When was the last time...

I'd like to remind some of our muppetesque porsters some historical facts:

Since 1980:

FSU has run trains on our Canes of dub dub streaks...

- x5
- x7

Miami has a singular streak of...
- x6

Canes current streak..
- x2

Our Orange and Green aren't even 1/2 way to matching the longest beat down streak over the Noles in 45 years...and they never matched their [FSU's] longest win streak either.

I do believe Santo Mario is at the start of a great up cycle and FSU is still spiralling further downward. FSU and Rutgers are competing to see who can catch the Federal Govt for debt...that's a good thing. Their lack of resource flexibility and firepower makes their job that much harder in Tally and Gainesville, et al.

Let's continue to support our squad however we can.

Go Canes.

I think Florida will surprise some this season. 8 or 9 win range. But nowhere near enough for their fanbase to want to fire Summeral after one seeason.

Part of me doesn’t blame Mario or Dawson for getting a little conservative at the end of games when we’re up by 2 scores. Look, I don’t want to take away anything from Beck. He had a fine season and made some excellent plays that helped lead us to a Natty. But in those “play from behind” type situations? He either throws a pick or throws 2 passes that should have been picked until he eventually throws a pick. Murder murder murder wasn’t so much his style. I’m not blaming him for the Natty loss because in my opinion we were very fortunate to even get another shot to take the lead, but that pick on the last drive was a bad one. Double coverage. Poorly thrown. And totally not necessary considering we had plenty of time to get in the endzone with 51 seconds left and 41 yards away. We could have gotten closer and maybe get into a situation like we did against Ole Miss where Beck had an option to take it in himself. Although that was probably unlikely.

Now next year with Mensah…I think he could be that murderer we seek
I think McElroy summed it up best on his show the other day when he said Mensah is the “happy medium” between Ward and Beck. I could absolutely see this being the best offense in CFB next season, but Mensah will have an elite defense to go with it, unlike Ward.
