Whatever happened to Darrell Langham?

Didn’t really do much in the grand scheme of the game, but that blindside block by Futch against GT was a crazy highlight.
 
Didn’t Langham also have a big 25 yard catch on fourth and long in the 41-8 Notre Dame game?

Miami won big but I remember going for it.

Or am I thinking of someone else?

The legendary game-winning TD Kirby Freeman threw at Trailerhassee. I forget the TE who made the catch. Might have been 4th down too.

Two bad teams trying to see who wants to lose the most.
 
he came in for one single play IIRC. had not played all game. i remember watching Richt point to his head, instructing Rosier ("be smart . . . "). rosier threw the best pass of his career. Langham adjusted and his momentum carried him forward. the refs took 30 minutes to review the play, seeing how they could **** miami just one more time. i was listening to QAM online and Joe and Don were confident, which made me less confident. it was a long 30 minutes,, followed by a Bagley (?) extra point and then a kickoff return that went too far.

in the end, we were singing on the way out. it was the end of a long losing streak.

give us Richt 5 years earlier and we win a title with him

I had such a bad Canes PTSD back then I was convinced they were gonna say his knee was down before he crossed the goal line and then enforced the 15 yard celebration penalty…🤷🏻
