What was the first Miami game you remember?

-It’s tough but best memory is comeback against Michigan in the 1980s.

-Before that, I do have brief memories of Shakespeare and Eddie Brown, though, but not full games.

-I remember my little brother calling Cortez Kennedy ‘blub blub’ as a nickname

-was a huge fan of Tiger Clark

-I remember how awful the 92 sugar bowl was

-so many earlier memories

-wide right games were incredible

Several games in the 60s, but the first game I REALLY REMEMBER was the Gator Flop game in 1971. I was so ****ed. It began a 50+ year disdain for the Gators.
The games b4 that were great, but I realized I was 100% Cane fan that day in '71.

The first time I really paid attention and was old enough to rub it in to friends was the 1985 drubbing of Notre Dame, 58-7. I remember cutting out the story from SI and taping it to my closet door in Columbus, Ohio.

I remember after Wide Right 1, I was at my high school waving around my Miami flag that I had and seeing it get kocked out of my hand by a mad FSU fan.

First UM game I attended was against Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1988. I was a freshman at Ohio U and we drove up from Athens. I was a was a quasi-Canes fan at the beginning of the game and left a total fanatic. Gave up loyalties to any other team and never looked back.

Miami hurricanes vs famu 2002 I was in 6th grade. It was my first Hurricanes game and the first time really actually understanding football and what was happening.
