I understand the sentiment. You want Golden gone -so do I .But publicly humiliating a coach isn't going to make him go away sooner. It will not make the administration let him go quicker. But what do you think any coach considering coming to Miami thinks when the fans unlike any other school in the country so publicly try to embarrass their team and their head coach. Its very possible we could have a smaller list of interested coaches because of this. But some people act without thinking. If you got fired from your job would you want someone flying a banner over town proclaiming it?

People lose sight of (or choose to ignore) the weird situation that we were in last year.

--Shalala didn't want to fire Golden and have to conduct a coaching search as her last big act as prez, which would have stuck the incoming prez with her choice and whatever contract she had put in place.
-Frenk, as incoming prez, obviously wanted to wait a full season before deciding whether Golden needed to go. He got enough mail about it before the season to know that it was a big concern, but needed to see for himself what a ****-show Golden was.
--The BOT last year continually said that Golden's buyout dropped significantly after this year.

Bottom line is that it was already predetermined that this was the make-or-break season. The BOT do care, but their hands were tied by the fact that Shalala was in a lame-duck position and Golden's buyout was more than they wanted to spend.

Golden's already breaking; the full break will come by the end of the season.
