What if the ACC went to 16 Teams?

1. Do you think this is even possible?

2. What 2 teams would you have join? Do you force Notre Dame into being a full time member. Or do you tell Notre Dame to take the rest of your teams and **** off and bring in 2 other teams as full members?

3. What 2 teams would you bring in to make it 16?

Why share the revenue with 2 other teams? They would have to be teams that would significantly add to the ACC money jar. Your do that by hitting a fairly large city.
San Antonio, Tampa, Orlando, Memphis, Charleston, Philadelphia, New York/New Jersey might fit the bill.

Temple is logical because of their rivalry with Pitt and BC and they still hate VT.

But, UCF and USF seems like the logical choice, IMO.

And ND wants ALL THE $$$ to themselves and don't want to split conference $$$ with anyone, which is smart on their part. **** em and they can eat a ****, but smart.

I think the day we see 16 team conferences will be the day the big 12 goes away, with that said, I'd add Notre Dame and West Va. UCONN if Notre Dame refused to join.

Add Notre Dame as a full member.

Then add the University of Cincinnati as the 16th member.

Boston College
Pitt
Louisville
UVA
VT

ACC South

G Tech
Clemson
Miami
FSU
Wake
NC State
UNC

9 conference games per year.

What about WVU? They are a Top 25 Overall Athletic Program. They are in a Top 15 in Merchandise. Fit right into the footprint. Long time rivals of Syracuse, Pitt, and VT. And have huge alumni representation in DC, Charlotte, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. And they only compete for TV set in their state with Marshall.

**** ND and id have UCF and USF come in tbh but ND will never go into a conference because they don't need to

They will need to if we tell them bring football or every other sport is kicked out of the ACC. At that point they would have to decide either become a full fledged ACC member or continue to be independent and send our other teams back to the Big East.

Why would they leave the Big 12?

Navy will not take their Olympic Teams out of the Patriot League. And that would leave the ACC with only 15 teams for the olympic sports.

Notre Dame and Navy.

UCF is probably a popular initial idea but I have zero interest in elevating their athletics in-state and they're not a great overall match academically.

I also eliminate the divisions within the conference too.

What's the benefit of the service academy? Especially Navy ... They've been on a steady decline for the past 5 seasons. Just went 3-10 ...

Except how much money does ND bring to the ACC now? I personally feel like the basketball they bring a lot to the table and the football games are always big so I don't see it happening

Adding ND and WVU defintaly will not water down the schedule. Forcing the conference to 9 games and eliminating the gimme FCS game will not water down anything.

They'd just likely eliminate the second interdivisional game. No chance they bring West Virginia and ND in either
