Mario is gonna cost at least his Oregon salary ($5.5m), plus his coaches like Mirabal (600k). That’s gonna add up to several million more than Richt and his staff. I don’t think Miami will bite that bullet.
I think if they tabled the contract, along with contracts from other cheaper coaches, they will convince themselves the cheaper option is the smart, moneyball option, and that they are so wise for getting value. It’s not that I think they have no money, it’s that I think they are cheap.Mario will make more than 5.5m this year with incentives - probably close to 7.
Several million more than Richt is something Miami can easily do. Don't let this "we have no money" theme get legs - we have the money...we may not have money for a $10m coach but we certainly have money for a new staff.
Probably true. There's no what if - I think that's pretty definite. No way he comes with James there.

I believe Mario signed a 6yr 26mm contract. Definitely doable specially that acc teams get additional 10mm per year from acc tv dealMario is gonna cost at least his Oregon salary ($5.5m), plus his coaches like Mirabal (600k). Yeah, when Nike delivers that UPS truck sized bag of cash at his front door to stay.Either way, Mario is going to get paid real soon.
