What a world

I’ll definitely admit I was wrong.

I thought for sure Dawson would do great with TVD & the TAMU game was a preview of what was to come for the rest of the season. I have my theories as to what has happened since then, but either way, it’s been an abject failure.

TVD is broken, mentally & physically. He really can’t do it anymore, like the kid is just all fcked up & wants OUT.

You can see it on his face, he does NOT want to be out there anymore.
Good....then tell him to pack his belongings and Golf Clubs and get tf outta Coral Gables. The SECOND he flirted with Bama, I would've packed his sh*t immediately if not sooner. F him.

I‘ve never said the guy was a first rounder or even a great qb. I’ve said “ he’s a good college qb that‘s streaky”. I think that’s what any reasonable person inside or out of the program would think. But since GT he’s been awful and there’s no defending that. He’s never turned the ball over at this rate or missed basic HS throws in his time here. He looks like a broken qb that injuries , three oc’s bad ol’s and most importantly bad play has taken a toll on, he’s cooked.

I try to be a reasonable person , not an emotional female that bases his opinions on guys play between the sidelines . Not looking at facial expressions , body language or other stupid **** like that. Only because I don’t like him or have it out for him, but at this point there’s no denying his play since GT is killing the team. It’s no longer streaky or inconsistent qb play, which we could survive. I never saw it getting to point his confidence was so shot he can’t make a basic HS read or throw. As I’ve said “ he looks like a broken player , he’s cooked. He resembles a punch drunk boxer.

With all that said Tvd is getting all the blame but since GT Dawson has also been bad , wr’s get very little separation and defenses know our tendencies. He’ll they’re sitting on routes. It’s easy to blame it all on one guy because you can replace him but this is three years straight Mario’s offenses and qb play have been awful. Theres a trend. Things are looking more and more like last year , from formations to play calling.

I’ll never bash a player or make it personal like some of the lunatics here have because I know there’s a line and families read these boards. It’s ok to question or bash their play but some of you have real issues.
The squirrel cages are rattling

Of course I was wrong. TVD fell apart. Alabama thought he was better at that time, too, which is why they tried to get him.

This reminds me of Jacory in 2010. Can’t blame it all on TVD because it’s the coaches’ job to bring out his best. A total failure.

The only thing you’ve said about TVD and first round is that he could be one but he has a lot of work to do.

He has great arm talent and has made some of the best throws I’ve seen at UM. He’s also made some of the most atrocious reads and throws as well. The latter happening more frequently .

In fairness, after the A&M performance, who would've foreseen this?

But his issues have to impact the offense and Dawson’s playcalling. How can we call anything beyond 5 yards when our QB has the yips, and has zero confidence in his ability? What else can Dawson do?

he’s a stephen morris regen with a weaker arm.

TVD's biggest problem is after that 7 game stretch in '21, teams watched film on him. Most of the "guys" here tried to pretend he played perfectly. The flaws he had in '21 are more prevalent now because everyone knows drop 8 in coverage and bracket Restrepo. Give him time in the pocket to stare the defender down and he will hand out gifts all game.

So where do they go from here? Do they risk killing another kid mentally by starting the freshman on the road in Doak? Do we see any fallout here with the current recruits on board? Just never ends with this program. 2 decades and counting

I could see a QB switch. I just don’t know if Emory is ready. With our OL and backs, the best option might be an offense built around Jacurri’s running but it’s too late for that.

I think next year’s QB is on a different team.

It is 4 o’clock in the morning in Los Angeles and I woke up screaming in the night at the thought that Tyler Van Dyke is still my quarterback, heading to FSU

The revisionists memories is what kills me the most on this board.

TVD does this **** every year.. and gets a pass because “Gattis sucks” “WRs suck” “There’s not enough time to Throw” “He’s Hurt”

I’ve literally never seen the amount of excuses for a QB at Miami in my life time as a fan.

That's been my opinion as well. I don't think emory is ready especially not for a road game against our biggest rival but most of the people on here don't agree. Also would be pretty sad if miami ended up having to start a freshman with hardly any experience back to back years in this rivalry... If there was a better/more experienced option on the team already I would have benched tyler after the last game. Either way, another super frustrating season. Wasting one of the best OLs we've had in years.
