Right, glass half empty view.
The other possibility is half full. Again, no way to know unless he plays.

Jesus, that's not what I'm saying.

You said he couldn't be worse and I pointed out that he could be worse. Not that he will be worse.

I'm just saying that people act like there's some sure fire, easy fix. Like if we just put this guy in or change that coach everything will be better. That ignores the fact that you don't really know what you'll get with the next guy. Sure, he was great in HS or at that other college, but that doesn't mean much here and now.

First it was Perry, then Williams, and now Weldon. Everybody's acting like we absolutely must have a good QB on campus. I get that it's incredibly depressing to think we don't, but so far there's a lot of evidence that it's true. I'm not saying Williams/Weldon can't play, but it should give you pause that neither has even entered the conversion for the #2 spot.

Weldon is an awesome runner. Not necessarily a scrambler who is creating out of nothing, but he is dangerous on read-options and draws. I'm talking about 40-50 yard runs against our first team defense.

As a passer, he has a good arm and pretty good accuracy/finesse. If Malik has C arm talent and N'Kosi has A arm talent, Weldon is a B. The key for him is avoiding interceptions. What I like about him is also his downfall- he plays an aggressive, up-tempo style and is not afraid to take chances with his body or the football.

If I had to make a comp, it would Nick Fitzgerald from Mississippi St.

Don't try it, man. Just have fun with these savants. Less than 5% of this board involves any rational discussion.

There's a difference between a style comparison and saying someone is a "clone," i.e. just as good. Stick to defending the worst offense in the Coastal.

Don't show your emotions like that, for crying out loud.

Can't wait to see Cade Fitzweldon show us that he was the answer all along.

I don't know if we have a savior on campus. But I know we have three guys way more talented than Rosier.

And I bet at least a couple of them will turn out to be better players than him. My beef is that we didn't properly assess what we had in Rosier. If we did, we would have fast-tracked their development and gotten them reps with the 1s. Or brought in a grad transfer.

I'm just saying it's entirely possible that he'd be worse.

It's like Richt's replacement...right now people think anyone would be better, but I assure you it's possible to be worse.
That's pretty much guaranteed. The BOT has whiffed four times already. Have no faith they'd hire anyone competent.

Ruh roh!! d-ummy with more of his QB evals!!!

None of our current QBs have the skill level to make us a good team. Note I did not say elite because they far from that level.

I understand Weldon has been on probation (?) and is a general fkup off the field. But how are his skills compared to Kosi and Malik? I have not seen enough of him to actually gather if he's a viable talent.

CW is a bum!:youre-nuts: My apologies to the Mickey character in the Rocky Trilogy. Because I " borrowed " his lines from the movies.

If he would have taken seriously being a QB at a major top 20 school from the beginning, he would have gotten a serious look at playing time. Unfortunately, he's squandered his chances ala Olsen. Unless he has a major epihany he'll never play here.

Yeah, Weldon’s wounds were self-inflicted.

The writing was on the wall with all the secrecy during the spring period.
