FYI-I am from Winter Park. Assuming kids have offers from the Big 3, the chances are as follows:

70% percent chance kids from Winter Park go to UF
20% percent chance they go to FSU
5% percent they go to The U
5 percent anywhere else

I agree that is an accurate analysis of seminole county bias, especially with the local news media's clear UF then FSU bias around here. I dont know who is worse CBS( WESH NEWS) or ABC (WFTV).

A perfect example would be the recruitment of 2014 DT Adam Torres from Lake Mary, FL and his leaning toward FSU still despite them clearly miss leading the kid.

After watching Chad at the Opening it is hard to get excited about ANY other DE. If staff wants this kid and he commits, great. I have not seen someone manhandle quality olinemen like Chad did in 25 years. I know that monster at South Carolina is something to behold, but Chad is not anyhere near his top end yet. Valentine and him make everyone on next year's D many times better. They will make the coaches look so much better.

I think its important for Canes fans to realize that the bulk of the talent still on the table is likely to go elsewhere. Our class is loaded with hi level athletes at each position. Kids like a Trent Harris are going to find the potential depth chart looking better at other schools very soon. I recommend taking these futures commitments with a grain of salt. Our class is nearly in place. FWIW.

Also, I too share the concerns about Trent Harris's frame and his ability to grow into a BCS level D-end. Still a good prospect and would luv for him to be the 3rd D end in this class.

Disagree on our class being finished. We have a strong foundation, but you never know who's going to decommit. We are in play for a multiple prospects & prospects we haven't really heard about. I think we will end up in the high 20s or low 30s. We have Jackson & Thomas, I agree that adding Harris would be a luxury, but it would be a very nice luxury to have. If Harris doesn't commit to UF in the near future I think it's a fair assumption that his offer is non-committable. I do believe he will go to UM if he doesn't go to UF. Our coaches have been selling on him a weak depth chart.

Agreed. My words were "nearly in place." There is certainly more work to be done, both in adding talent and KEEPING the talent that is committed. That said, I think my point still stands in that the bulk of the talent still on the table is going to go elsewhere.
