Welcome to the U, Bowman Archibald

What position will he play?

His fil on defense as a MLB and OLB is sick....i wouldnt put that boy on o...he'd be setting the edge as an olb for the next 4 years on my team...i bet thats what sabana nd comp wanted him for..kid reminds me of Aaron Lynch from a few yrs ago but more athletic.

GREAT PICK UP BY SCOTT!!

I know Miami is pretty excited about this pickup. He was their top tight end on the recruiting board for this year. They view him as a blocking tight end who may grow into a tackle in the future.

That's kind of deflating, it looks like he will be more than just a blocking TE in college. Archibald looks like a good enough athlete to be an above average pass catcher and blocker.

Exactly. Kid can move, has great hands and is physical. Perfect TE prospect.

With names like these, we really are turning into the Harvard of the South.

Okay, was I the only one that was surprised when I when I saw this kid's photo? Nonetheless, we might be the class of the NCAA in names if you also throw Braxton in there. Those are 4 SOLID names that could also either be a golf foursome at a country club in Louisiana consisting of white guys over 80 or a dice game in the hood consisting of brothers all under 30. Awesome!

This the **** I dont like. Please let us not waste another athletic talent like this on offense bull$hittin around in our NO TE USING offense. You guys make me laugh getting all excited about putting this kid at TE. NO! Let Njuku play TE. **** we dont use the TE that much anyway. Let this kid play OLB or DE and wreck havoc. We can NEVER have enough athletic guys on defense. He goes to TE and we wont hear from him for about 3 years from now. Ask Jake O'Donnell. JMO.

I dont think it had to do with our offensive system. It was more to do with our **** for brains QB that didn't have the cognitive capacity to sift thru traffic in the middle of the field, or check down for that matter. Ryan Williams and I'm willing to bet Olsen (big bro won't let him pass up them TEs) and Kaaya will understand these big boys can be their best friend on the field.

i swear staff reminds me of craig robinson's character as the dj in the movie "The Goods". everything you think they're gonna do or every time our team has everything going for it to succeed we do the opposite

So you take David Lake's word as gold? SMH

P.S. ITU is one of the most irresponsible Canes site out there. Even dating back from when they first started (Rudy claiming that we should have a coaching staff comprised of only local high school coaches, to the coaching search nonsense, to the mess last year with Kirkland, to probation, etc), they have always been journalistic garbage.

I have a feeling David Lake has no ******* clue what our coaching staff discusses internally when it comes to these recruits. If it walks like a tight end, and talks like a tight end...

Tbh, I know ITU and I dont have a membership there anymore for a reason. You have to pay for info that isnt top notch to me by anybody except for Chris Stock so obviously by what ims aying you can image I dont believe a word of what Lake said but some just to be negative will take it as gold when Pete himself is saying its not true

There is a reason why Peter breaks so many commits (including this one) and others never do. Trust the Brow.

Archibald is viewed as a TE. Who knows where his growth will take him, but this is not a Winston situation.

I agree. Watched his highlights and I see a good tight end, but an exceptional de/lb.
He's blowing people up, but what caught my eye was his football IQ. On one play he busts throw the middle and recognizes the reverse, which he blows up.

Big, reasonably athletic and looks like he plays with an attitude.
