What happened to Huff at LB? I was surprised to see him not listed on the two-deep along with Brooks (who is injured)

Huff is in year 3, can’t crack the 2 deep on our weakest position on the team even with Brooks injured, and weighs the same as our starting free safety. I don’t think LB is in the cards for this kid, at least not at miami.

I don’t have a problem with “look, I don’t care how good/bad of a camp either guy has had, GF is proven and the better player to me”. I get that, heck I even said that of all promising news we’ve heard in fall camp, the one I just can’t believe is that Carter is a revelation at striker.

But what I don’t agree with is the “these coaches man” mentality. Like they’re sitting down at meetings with the sole objective of getting Amari Carter as many starts as possible. If they wanted to do that they’d have just left him at Safety and told Hall to kick rocks. Half the brain trust of the defensive staff doesn’t give a crap about Carter, because they just got here this year. It just doesn’t make any sense.
☝️THIS. The coaches want to win as badly as any of us. Their actual livelihood depends on it. They're making their decisions based on who they think gives the team the best shot based on what they're seeing on the field, on tape, in study sessions, and in the gym - all things that none of us get to see with our own eyes. I trust their judgement on who should play and at what position a whole lot more than any of the CIS posters.
