kinda annoyed that Carter is starting over Gil. Outside of the ends, Gil was our most consistent defender last year. Wreaks of favoritism.

Carter over Frierson
Clark 2nd string center. Is he even practicing?
Scaife over Williams (bodes well for us as Williams was solid last year and we know Scaife is a better tackle than guard)
Harvey over Johnson

Y’all know Pope gonna get burn. Get the tears out of the way now..the starting lineup on Dline doesn’t matter in the scheme with manny . Gil will get starters snaps. Stevenson will play starters snaps..depth chart are overrated

Gil will play more snaps than Carter. Non-issue IMO.

Here’s the most encouraging bit of that depth chart: multiple starters from last year still on the team are no longer starters. We’ve leveled up at multiple positions.

I wouldn't read much into Carter over Gil. Carter is definitely better in the box while Gil can cover a lot better and play in space. I'm assuming the idea is Carter can bring more physicality to the LBers for Bama. They'll probably flip flop as starters based on the teams we play.

Don't really understand why they don't list Williams as the backup to both tackle spots. No shot Herbert ever steps onto the field.
