We need a punter....

One of the punts inside the 5 was a horrible looking shank that he got lucky on.

The guy has a huge leg. He just needs time and practice. Right now he's a liability but in future years I think he's going to be a weapon.

His coaches, Dad and support network will work with him over the summer and he'll be NFL-caliber.
Spoiled with Bosher, O'Donnell, Vogel...
True frosh punter in big games -- there's a learning curve.

I heard Richt read your porst and is heading over to soccer practice.

If he goes to intercollegiate soccer practice, we will have a female punter...There is club soccer, but heck, just go over to the club rugby team.

Feagles will be fine; his dad was known for not the most booming kicks, but as the best "coffin corner" guy in the business in addition to being in the Tecmo Super Bowl!

I made the thread right after his shank. Spontaneous anger. I know the guy will be fine, but I was frustrated at the time. I just hope it doesn't happen at the wrong time.

The 52-yarder showed me all I needed to see.

Feagles has the leg, the hang-time, the athleticism and he can pin them deep. Just needs experience. Bosher was even more inconsistent as a young player.

Shankels will get better, but he's terrible right now. You can't have 20 yard punts every game. It's almost like a turnover.

VT will likely stuff one down his throat, so we'll need to overcome that.

Bosher was awful. Ugh. I remember him getting killed on these boards.

Absolutely true about Bosher. He had 9 shanks (20 yards or less, and not inside the 20) his freshman year. He turned out pretty damned good. I believe Feagles will too.

You're joking, right? Feagles is a pure freshman & after he shanked it did a great job.

BTW: For those not at the game yesterday, his father was honored at halftime along with the 1987 Nat'l Champ team. Bennie Blades spoke to team pre-game.

He is good. Especially for a true Frosh.

Yes, he has had some bad punts but that is expected.

The good news is that instead of having to bytch about the entire team, coaching staff, school administration, etc., we are now down to complaining about a true freshman punter.
