I still have a little faith in Grimble. He hasn't been physically prepared to play yet, so hopefully he grows a little more by next year and he could be a contributor.

Mike Coppage, Scout's recruiting guy for Louisiana, RAVES about Jacoby Briscoe and says that he just needed a year to work on conditioning and technique (like most DT prospects in the first place). Coppage has no reason to blow smoke up Miami's *** about anything so I trust what he says about Briscoe. Point being, don't sleep on him just because he redshirted.

3-4? two years ago we didnt have the personnel, but now we are much closer...multiple is good but will 3/4 be are bread and butter?

Getting DT/DL isnt about , "we got enough for next year." The staff has to set up for the following years. UF is deep at DL, but still got 6/7 guys on the line. It helps build depth for future years. Bostwick was a huge miss on the staffs part. I dont know why it happened, but its more than the NCAA issues. Golden brought in a great class at the peak of the NCAA issues last year. Thats not always the reason. We got DTs for next year. But what if guys get hurt, academic issues, or transfers? Coaches have to plan for the unexpected. Especially for OL and DL positions. Depth will take a hit next year n later. Porter n Pierre are the only ones that have shown anything so far. The DL will be an issue if the others dont get better. Canes fans need to stop betting on 2014. U cant bet on recruits coming here.Its a year away.The Collins situation is a perfect example. Many had him coming here, but we saw how that worked out. Miami has lacked an impact DT the last three recruiting years. I hope everyone stays healthy or many fans, me included, we be in for a let down.

Actually you are wrong! Wtf makes unthink Bryant or Bostwick would have been studs??? Marcus Forston was suppose to be a stud how that pan out? You judging a group of kids that were freshmen with no experience and not even giving them a shot.

I'm with you 100%. Yes he wasn't getting the push last year, but he also wasn't getting pushed around as a true fresman.

If you don't think DT is a problem then tell me what you think our depth chart looks like in 2014. It's a massive problem, we had an epic bomb this year. We'll have to land at least 2 JUCOs next year, and now we're in the JUCO trap where you pray you can beat the SEC for one, pray they qualify, and then get them for 2 years and you're doing it all over again.

Jernigan, Floyd, Montgomery, Leonard Willimas, McAlister all played signigant snaps as true Fresh DTs. On teams with much better DT depth than we have.

Why in the **** are we comparing a college senior to a high school senior? Porter will be out of college before this year's signing class matters. The concern is 2014-2015, not 2013. ARGHWO#OR*(@UP#O*UER@P#(*RU#@PR*U

They don't get it swag. Blah blah, we got 8 DTs, blah blah. Look at them boys, open your eyes, OP and CP are done after this year. When you are crying in 2014 I won't listen to you. We needed impact DTs badly.

HOWEVA (STEPHEN A SMIFF) TO SAY ONE OF THESE TRUE FRESHMAN WERE GONNA BE 3RD ON THE DEPTH CHART OR WE SHOULD KILL THIS ENTIRE CLASS BECAUSE OF IT IS FLAT OUT DUMB
Its good to see real Canes fans on here worrying about the program. I get tired of seeing the butt kissers act like everything is great. DT could be an issue in 2013 if injuries occur n 2014/2015 will feel the impact of not having a true DT taken in this class. Many of u should look at SEC commitments. They always signing 4-8 DL. It brings depth and competition.
LMAO @ Bostwick being the 3rd DL. Really? You guys are really underestimating our current guys. These kids were Freshmen and now they have another year in the Weight room and game exp. Give them a chance. Look at what Pierre did the last few games when the light switch went on. Beast mode. And he WAS NOT a 4 or 5 star. We missed on the Killer Bs but now its time for guys like Moore, Ivery, Grimble, and King to step up and help Pierre/Porter out.
