hopefully the young guys develop into studs, and Golden already has a strong track record of developing guys. But that misses the point of missing on stud recruits at the position this year, who can also develop and have -- at a minimum -- higher projected ceilings for 2014, 15, etc.... That's why you see Alabama, UF, and FSU bringing in studs to back-up the studs, just as we used to. Losing out on bostwick and the others, hurts.

We had that kind of atmosphere once too. We will have that again. We HAVE to win first though. What Ole Miss did this year is the exception not the rule. A 7-6 team is going to have a hard time getting the top prospects. These kids dont give a **** about Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and the alumni connection. Only us fans do. We start winning 9-10 games a year and churning out 1st round picks again then we will pull the Keith Bryants and Bostwicks of the world. Its not a coincidence that the Top 10 recruiting classes also include 7 teams that finished in the top ten. I think just Ole Miss and Michigan were the only two that finished outside the top ten. And you guys really thought we would go toe to toe against FSU and FLA? We got a$$ raped on national TV TWICE! (KSU and ND)

Yes we will win SOME. But until we become the "cool" place to be again like we were from 2001-2005 we will lose many of those battles. Right now FSU and FLA are the places to be for in state kids who dont necessarily bleed orange and green. We WILL be back again and very soon. We just have to get through the bumps and bruises first like we did from 1995-1998.

So how did they (Bama) get the players to win when they hadn't won a Title in decades, where was their "clout" to build the NC teams?????
