Has there been one instance of "leadership" ever exhibited by Flake that'd give any of us a shred of confidence that he's capable of doing anything on his own? The guy can't even go about securing funding for an indoor facility without looking like an impotent beggar in public. The assertion that if left to his own devices that he'd side with "safe" and hire a Cristobal seems to be spot on.

Dam it Mane! I didn't need to hear this crap. If I were King, it'd be off with your head! Here I am spending every waking hour hoping golden gets fired and now this! Oh well, luckily there is more than one team playing college football. If they keep Golden then the process will take care of itself. Dude will be further exposed for his coaching deficiencies.

Keep saying it all you want, but it just makes you a drama queen. There is essentially zero chance that they are shutting down the program in 5 years or 25 years.

That's correct. As long as that corporate welfare from the ACC and the television networks continues to roll in, why shut it down? It's not a situation like UAB, as long as Miami remains competitive in BB, in what is the premier Basketball Conference in the country, the ACC will not care that UM's football team plays like Wake Forest year after year.

I see where you are going, but highly doubt that....the only way such a move would pay off is if Frenk wanted to pay high dollar for a truly competent and experienced AD that he could count on to handle day to day with little to no oversight. We simply have NOTHING REMOTELY CLOSE TO THAT, just a guy that might be getting coffee for the AD at most college football powerhouse institutions.

Huge toss up whether a glorified socialist soccer fan or James would be better at running athletics at UM....and we know where Shalala landed us.

If you guys are waiting for Blake James to fire his boss, Coach Golden, you're in for a big disappointment. He looks up to Coach Golden like he's the messiah.
 
My beloved U is nothing more than a steaming dung heap now. I truly dispise almost everything that I use to love about The U. The entire admin at The U is as useful as **** on a boar hog. And that's being kind.

Nonsense and conspiracy theory worthy. The program might languish as the university tries to figure out if they can be Stanford or not but they aren't going to close off a source of revenue like the Adidas deal and all the shirts they sell. You really think the university doesn't want their program on national TV every weekend?

The new president isn't going to say or do ANYTHING until he gets into his role after 9.1.15 as to do so would be disrespectful to Shalala, something none of you care about, but that is sacred within academia. If the team is floundering by late October, early November and AG is deep in his bunker and the admin is still quiet then its time to get the pitchforks.

Until then calm down and stop worrying about black helicopters following you.
