A lot of it is bad evaluation...I'm saying, I don't give a **** what a site's screen tells me, I didn't believe DJ Ivey was a 4* then, and he certainly hasn't played like one.
And just think if you weight it for the brutally bad slate of passing offenses and overall QB we faced, because that particular strength of schedule is no higher than high 60s, and prob closer to the 80s. You can make an arguement we faced about 1.5 real QB last year (with the one making his 2nd start...Any of the others were just not terrible, and some of those were underclassmen.
I haven't given up on Gurvan Hall, he has his moments and didn't miss many tackles after September, he prevented big plays if nothing else...I like Bubba Bolden, and think he can be excellent if he comes back well from injury. I think Al Blades will leave here a late round pick, but I don't think he's a #1 CB on any good Miami Hurricanes team...Carter is average at best, Ivey should be a 5th or 6th corner. Bandy was average at best last year.
Hopefully Couch, Williams, K.Smith step up.
Again, when you realize we played NOTHING in terms of opposing passing offenses, you realize that secondary was pretty mediocre. Especially when you consider that they are playing behind a very good DL (The pass rush wasn't great in some games, no doubt...But still better than most of CFB)
