How does that help MIA win a NC?I can’t believe I’m the only one who wants Notre Dame to lose every single game on their remaining schedule.
All we need to do is win to get to the playoff, regardless of what those arrogant whiners do for the rest of their season.
I’m praying for them to go 5-6.

If they go 6-6, or more realistically lose to BYU & MIA, our win will end up getting devalued.
One of the main reasons why this program did not win a NC last season, was that it was forced to play a 4-game gauntlet in the CFP as the #10 seed; this is why making the CFP as a higher seed matters.
Sometimes I don't understand this fanbase; being able to rejoice in our rivals' misery is not more important than optimal positioning for a NC run. If so, the priorities of this fanbase are misplaced.
Coast Guard? Do you want to compare strength of schedules?Feels great for this rivalry and the hatred to feel like it did before.
Following ND's week 2 win over the Coast Guard, one of their band members flashed an upside down U on television while Marcus Freeman was being interviewed. This was the week after the band was heard chanting F Miami. Both of these instances were unprovoked and completely irrelevant to anything going on that day. They just hate us for being better than them.
**** off.Coast Guard? Do you want to compare strength of schedules?

We have to get healthier and shore up our OL on the right side first. But I like our chances if we do both.NDs season is all about our game in November. Mario and team have bigger plans
Brother we got to the natty and was a drive away..a blocked punt us why we didn’t win the natty not the teams we beat to get thereHow does that help MIA win a NC?

They're really awful. Not sure what got into them vs GT but every other game they've looked terrible. They actually had one of their better games against us.Not happening, Stanford is dookie in a blender.
If we take care of our own business, we will be a top four seed no matter what they do for the rest of the season.
We don’t need them to justify our position as an elite team.
Those days are over.
I think u guys are taking things for granted & making many assumptions here. If the ND win gets devalued, there's no guarantee that MIA will end up as a top 4 seed, even if it goes undefeated & wins the ACC. There's a huge difference between beating them in a convincing fashion at their house as a top 3 team vs. if they are ranked top 10 or lower. As I stated earlier in this thread, playing in a 2nd tier conference means it is more difficult for us to accrue resume strengthening wins, & a 1-loss BIG10 or SEC team would have a legitimate argument for being ranked ahead of us in the final CFP rankings. That's why maintaining unyielding hatred for our rivals & opponents is self-defeating & makes no sense; outside of when we play them, we should be rooting for them to win as many games as possible to help strengthen our resume. Furthermore, this remains true all the way until MIA transitions to a new conference. How does notre dame losing stop hurt our chances? As long as we keep winning we will end up as a top4 seed
I disagree with the notion that the game came down to 1 or 2 plays. IU was the #1 seed in the entire CFP and was the more rested & less physically worn-down team. That manifests itself throughout the entirety of the game; not just during the punt block & Beck's int. Expecting low seeds to routinely win the CFP is not realistic.Brother we got to the natty and was a drive away..a blocked punt us why we didn’t win the natty not the teams we beat to get there
HUGE loss for BYUTough loss for them. He’s a dog
Imagine becoming a fan of Notre Dame. What is the aura there? What is the appeal? Catholicism?
WTF would make any normal person who did not go to school there (90something% of their fans) a fan of their program?
They are the most insecure college football fans in existence and also some of the least educated with respect to the sport at large.
Somehow it’s not surprising that we live rent free in their heads and that they have ***** envy when it comes to Miami.
Remember Jeremiah Love last year? That personifies it
This is exactly what I want, destroy ND’s playoff chances on their home field.Would be nice to have BYU beat ND so we can eliminate them from the playoffs on 11/7 but I won’t hold my breath.
Talk about Canes fans wet dream!! Nothing would be better than seeing their fans in tears by hsnding them a 2nd loss and eliminating them from the CFP but a 2 loss ND team to two top ten teams with their playoff exception is more than likely ranked high enough to still get a spot in.I’ve had that same exact thought but didn’t have the stones to put in writing.
The thought of the satisfaction walking out of their house knowing we eliminated them two years in a row???? OMFG amazing! Beating them in their house and beating them again in the playoffs would also be sweet.

UGA, IU, OSU, ND, ALabama, TX in that order. I put zero stock in that Texas win the first game of the season. They haven’t played a half of offense like that against a respectable defense since that fluke game.Long way to go, but 5 games in...
Who's the toughest matchup for UM out of the top 12 right now?
