We are a legitimate playoff contender

We are pretty good and I think we can win every game, but we probably will drop one or two at least.

I'm going to enjoy the ride, it's far too early to start setting ourselves up for disappointment. We don't know much about this team at this point, let's see how the season plays out.

TVD will be in the Heisman mix, the whole OL is a top 5 unit and everyone will play in the league, George is playing like a 1st round pick, Restrepo will play on Sundays, the DL is a top 5 unit and there are multiple draft picks and our safeties are the top unit in CFB, both will be 1st rounders.

Clean up special teams and keep the LB improving, then why not us winning it all this year?

I know the first thing that will come to mind is that this is an overreaction or it's too soon. That's fine and understandable. I bet games every week and watch as many as I can. Nobody on our schedule looks better than we have so far. The FSU team that played in Boston college today will get stomped. Yeah, they had a bad game, but they're not close to what they're being built up to be. They beat an overrated LSU team after a strong finish last season and got way too much credit in the rankings.

It's not just our remaining schedule that has me thinking this way. We are elite at quarterback, offensive line, and coaching. Plenty of teams have won it all with just a strong combo of those three...with less talented and weaker defenses than what we are currently fielding.

The perennial powers aren't looking nearly as strong as they have for the last 10 years. I think we have the best combination of quarterback, OL and scheme...and our defense is nothing to be laughed at and will keep getting better as we get healthier.

I expect a lot of negative feedback for this and could really care less. 25% of the season in, I can confidently say that we have turned the corner and can beat anybody in the country.
Too bad the expansion playoff isn’t this season.

We’ve played one good team this year.

Look, I feel great about where the team is going, but I know it’s a long season and we should all know better than to start making grandiose statements based on a very small sample size.

Part of being a fan is being delusional, so I can’t fault you for this take - we look good and as good as we have in forever, much better than 2017 IMO (sans VT and ND games).

But the reality is we were 5-7 last year and have been mostly bad for a decade-plus. We are all jaded from prior coaching staffs and stunning losses. The problem this year is we have zero depth. If anyone on the OL gets injured, all of a sudden an advantage may be taken away. Health is key.

We just need to keep playing good ball. There WILL be a game where we play poorly against a team that sucks, every team no matter how good has one of those, so we will see how we do when we have that type of game. Games that look to have that “feel”? @ NCSU and @ BC.

Ultimately anything can happen any given Saturday. I am looking forward to an undefeated 5-0 Miami at undefeated 5-0 UNC (whose schedule is pathetic). We will see how we perform against a team, and coach, that has owned us for the last 4 years. Then we play Clemson at home. It’s not going to be easy.
