We are a legitimate playoff contender

I know the first thing that will come to mind is that this is an overreaction or it's too soon. That's fine and understandable. I bet games every week and watch as many as I can. Nobody on our schedule looks better than we have so far. The FSU team that played in Boston college today will get stomped. Yeah, they had a bad game, but they're not close to what they're being built up to be. They beat an overrated LSU team after a strong finish last season and got way too much credit in the rankings.

It's not just our remaining schedule that has me thinking this way. We are elite at quarterback, offensive line, and coaching. Plenty of teams have won it all with just a strong combo of those three...with less talented and weaker defenses than what we are currently fielding.

The perennial powers aren't looking nearly as strong as they have for the last 10 years. I think we have the best combination of quarterback, OL and scheme...and our defense is nothing to be laughed at and will keep getting better as we get healthier.

I expect a lot of negative feedback for this and could really care less. 25% of the season in, I can confidently say that we have turned the corner and can beat anybody in the country.
Let's pump our brakes a lil with this. Let the season play out. Maybe be content with watching us play **** good football and realize regardless of all the off-season pros on here as some of us told you, were in good hands. We're getting significantly better week by week. As Mario said we gotta get back to work. So let's just enjoy the process.

Ga Tech quietly has the 14th ranked offense in the country. That game is not going to be the cake walk people think.

We've made huge steps compared to last year, but I think we're a few classes away still from being a legit contender. We still don't have the depth when we get late in to the season IMO. That said, there isn't a game on our schedule that isn't winnable. But running the table is hard, and you need to have depth to be able to do that and we're still in a place where there's a big dropoff from the starters to the second and third teams as we saw against Bethune
Agree with everything except the part bout Bethune and a few classes away! A touchdown n some yardage at end would happen if the 2nd n 3rd teamers were 5* simply because said 5* have/had no playing time. And, if we finish this class strong we only need one more class on top of that!

We don’t have the depth. However, I could see how watching our games and comparing that to what we have seen so far out of the perennials ( Jawja, Bama, Clempsun) would lead a fan to come to this conclusion after just 3 weeks.
We have a better QB and Offensive line combination than almost every other team.
we are finally witnessing the parody we”ve been praying for. We have at least 3 players on the squad that we know Saban directly wanted at Bama. The transfer portal and NIL have evened the field.
It will take more than 3-0 to open these traumatized fans eyes to what we are currently watching unfold. 3 games is too small a sample size to wash away 18 years trauma. With that being said, I whole heartedly believe between talent and coaching we are a top 10 team this year. Depth is our weekness and how far we can go is largely dependent on injury luck. Why not us.
By depth do Yu mean talent or experienced back-up players?

1-2 more years of recruiting, hitting the portal. Cristobal also needs to do whatever it takes to keep the coordinators happy. Stability is under-rated.
The portal cuts down the number of classes we need to get said depth if you're thinking we need 2 or more classes the portal cuts those needed classes in half.

We have enough talent per se. I’m referring to experienced ‘plug-n-play’ types at a few key positions.

We have too many players that we can’t afford to lose and still have a realistic shot at being a top 4 team.

If our key players stay healthy, sky is the limit.

Oh ok! I agree, back up secondary needs more playing time they were eager and played with enthusiasm but it seemed like they were being reactive instead of pro-active

Mario’s resume says we beat UNC and probably FSU too. The losing streaks to UNC , FSU, and Clemson work in our favor. Clemson is on the ropes and will take some desperate swings to save their season. If we come out prepared, we can embarrass them.

The games I’m concerned about are NC State and BC.
Lol wut
