Highly doubt this. Cronk was already going to be put on the back burner with williams and scarlett. Williams still might have ducked out knowing that Scarlett was expected to come, and Scarlett would still have jumped ship the same way. We would have ended up with no Rb.

I do t mind the criticism cuz it's justified but they don't know **** about football.

Gordon has been here a lot longer than over night, unfortunately. We had talent last yr, have some talent this coming yr but our corching is the worst. U can't think otherwise...U just can't.

thanks for the post, but let's see it on the field!!! No disrespect to the young fellas, but our staff needs to use these guys correctly for them to impress on the field and they are not necessarily doing that!!!
 
I'm not surprised that Walton is already impressing his teammates. His career has been on a steep rise for quite some time. He really elevated his game towards the end of his high school career. He dominated a state title game against perennial power, Bolles School. He was toying with a defense that is usually dominant, especially against the run.

Mark's uncle lives in my building, so every so often I get firsthand updates on how he's doing (among other things going on in the program, which shouldn't be shared here). Mark has worked incredibly hard to prepare his body for the next level. Do a little research and find some pictures from a few months ago and compare them with the most recent stuff you can find. The kid has made some considerable gains.

He's a humble, hardworking kid that has a considerable amount of god given ability. He's a hardcore football guy. As coaches, we were always trying to find football minded kids. Sometimes those football minded kids weren't the best athletes, but we knew that they were going to be scrappy players on the field and they were going to work hard in the off season. We always had our best teams when our best athletes were also hardcore football players. Mark has both. He's a great athlete and he's a hardcore football guy. His body is already more developed than Joe's and his skill set is already more advanced than Gus' (in fairness, both statements don't say much).

Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. A lot more people, including myself, would be more willing to contribute meaningfully to this tranquil sanctuary of a colloquium--but why? This place is run by an angry, McCarthyist mob. Anyone who seemingly speaks outside of the current groupthink of the moment gets labeled and the usual band of talking heads take care of the rest. This board is diseased with nearly instant assumptions. The usual suspects are allergic to objectivity, conversation and meaningful discourse. They don't understand the catechetical or Socratic method that is inherent in every meaningful discussion. It almost always well suits a conversation when points of view are represented--and there is never just one point of view.

Unprovoked acts of self righteousness and condescension are unacceptable. Much of life has to do with the cards you are handed at birth. Some people just weren't given the same abilities and means. It is firmly established that socioeconomic status and education are inextricably linked. This is a board for all people. It's free, which assumes that the only socioeconomic limiting factors are internet access and a web device. Since socioeconomic status is inherently irrelevant on this board, then we should act as such.

There is no such false modesty--my reputation in the community speaks for itself. Your sarcastic, almost facitious tone is disappointing and counterproductive. I have never talked down to anyone or insulted anyone in any of my content-filled posts. In fact, I have always encouraged conversation and openly appreciated any honest input. I am sorry that you feel inferior; I have no control of that.

As to the literary devices: your statement serves as an admission of guilt. I do not appreciate your manipulative interpretation of my words. If anyone wants to know more, they can ask my directly--like I said earlier.

I love the old "I'm a real football guy and you aren't" type of fans. They are the modern version of the SUPERFAN. The way that they fan is the only way to fan. Any other fanning that is not the same as theirs should be dismissed as not real fanning.
