walton impressing teamates

Sad that what should be a positive thread about Walton turns into the usual belittling by franchise and his minions of anything Miami related. The fact that some of you find his schtick humorous amazes me. Id say 30 percent minimum of this board are not Canes fans.

How would you define a 'canes fan'?

I look at it this way: other programs run the race for championships, but as long as Golden is here UM is on a treadmill. We aren't going anywhere until he is gone. That is what frustrates people. We know what step one is (firing Golden), and it's not getting done.

No matter how much talent we have, I can't get excited about this team because Golden is in effect a huge brake on the machine.

So go whine about it in one of the 20 variations of "Golden sucks" threads. Why can't a thread about how impressive Walton looks be about...how impressive Walton looks?

How impressive does Walton look playing dodgeball? That's what I'd like to know.

LOL at the weirdos trying to rally around how impressive a true freshman looks before he's participated in a single practice. These clowns are more fake than the hot chick hookup message that you get after watching a porno on pornhub.

I'm not surprised that Walton is already impressing his teammates. His career has been on a steep rise for quite some time. He really elevated his game towards the end of his high school career. He dominated a state title game against perennial power, Bolles School. He was toying with a defense that is usually dominant, especially against the run.

Mark's uncle lives in my building, so every so often I get firsthand updates on how he's doing (among other things going on in the program, which shouldn't be shared here). Mark has worked incredibly hard to prepare his body for the next level. Do a little research and find some pictures from a few months ago and compare them with the most recent stuff you can find. The kid has made some considerable gains.

He's a humble, hardworking kid that has a considerable amount of god given ability. He's a hardcore football guy. As coaches, we were always trying to find football minded kids. Sometimes those football minded kids weren't the best athletes, but we knew that they were going to be scrappy players on the field and they were going to work hard in the off season. We always had our best teams when our best athletes were also hardcore football players. Mark has both. He's a great athlete and he's a hardcore football guy. His body is already more developed than Joe's and his skill set is already more advanced than Gus' (in fairness, both statements don't say much).

Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. A lot more people, including myself, would be more willing to contribute meaningfully to this tranquil sanctuary of a colloquium--but why? This place is run by an angry, McCarthyist mob. Anyone who seemingly speaks outside of the current groupthink of the moment gets labeled and the usual band of talking heads take care of the rest. This board is diseased with nearly instant assumptions. The usual suspects are allergic to objectivity, conversation and meaningful discourse. They don't underst and the catechetical or Socratic method that is inherent in every meaningful discussion. It almost always well suits a conversation when points of view are represented--and there is never just one point of view.

Unprovoked acts of self righteousness and condescension are unacceptable. Much of life has to do with the cards you are handed at birth. Some people just weren't given the same abilities and means. It is firmly established that socioeconomic status and education are inextricably linked. This is a board for all people. It's free, which assumes that the only socioeconomic limiting factors are internet access and a web device. Since socioeconomic status is inherently irrelevant on this board, then we should act as such.

Oh my god this might be the most hilarious post ever typed on the internet.

Are fans are the worst.
I do t mind the criticism cuz it's justified but they don't know **** about football.
That's what amazes me
We Were spoiled and they think you build a dynasty over night.i can't stand are fans....***** holes
Smh

First off, I didn't realize 4 years was overnight. Secondly, not a single person here is expecting a dynasty, they are just expecting to be competitive and possibly even a contender after 4 years.

That's how these dopes operate. You demand UM be one millionth of a degree above mediocre and they pretend your demands are laughably outrageous so that they can distract from the fact that this dumb**** coaching staff can't even deliver that.

"You know, I don't think a school like UM should be losing to UVa every year."
"HERE WE GO, BEAT UVA CONSISTETLY HE SAYS. SORRY PAL THE 80's ARE NEVER COMING BACK!"
"It seems to me that we should be dominating Duke."
"YEAH JUST LIKE THAT, WE'LL JUST START DOMINATING DUKE. OKAY SURE AND AFTER THAT WE'LL START WINNING THE AFC EVERY YEAR. JESUS OUR FANS ARE SO DUMB AND ENTITLED. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH COLLEGE FOOTBALL HAS CHANGED!!!"
"Being the worst team in the worst division in the worst Power 5 conference isn't good enough."
"WE AREN'T BAMA! WHY CAN'T YOU GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL!??"

Extremely underrated post

Excellent post WestZone... these guys are some real idiots.

God just forgot to give them sense.
