Please don't condone this madness...I still maintain Alec Ogletree. Elite ATH, but main concerns out of UGA were he didn’t really like to mix it up and get nasty. You can literally still look that up and see those on his scouting reports in 2014 (along w/ some character stuff which is why he dropped a bit). I think he turned out okay and they are **** near identical in size/stature at same stage. He was also an insane track athlete in HS but didn’t participate in hurdles at 6’3 214.
@DMoney I understand where you are coming from though. He is a piece of clay, just get him here and figure out the rest later. You think he should be labeled an ATH, I see no issue there. I thought you were trying to foreshadow a drop initially, glad you cleaned that up.
What’s your opinion on the new cat Whiteside?![]()

Take him as an athlete to do what? Are we going to have him practicing and not ever playing at 3 different positions? You take him as an athlete. Let Greentree decide where he fits.
His size/speed combo is rare and he has good character. If we want first rounders, we need to recruit first round profiles.
What position is he going to play? Or are we going to do dumb multi-position stuff with him when the unit that has been the largest liability on the defense still has major need? He’s not being taken as a WR
All good broski. I’ll just wait and see how it unfolds.I might be able to get hudl tape of Millbrook versus Garner.
I saw he didn’t have much for the stat book against them and they are the only real team they’ve played.
This next one will be a showdown. Hobbs is a good RB at Clayton. 6-1, game speed, 10 yards per rush. Good program.
At this point as an Athlete, I’d guess. Sounds like they’re trying to add one or two more LBers so they’re attacking the position. I’m fine taking a kid with elite traits and letting the chips fall wherever. What position is he going to play? Milbrook beat the brakes off of them. They did beat Cleveland, but they’re down compared to what they have been in the recent past.I might be able to get hudl tape of Millbrook versus Garner.

Agree that he is a take regardless because of his athletic profile and am happy to trust the coaching staff if they think his best spot is receiver. He does look more than capable on film.I think he looks more natural on offense than defense. Maybe I’m wrong (the sample is very limited) but nobody has really challenged that point. They just say we need linebackers more. That’s true, but that’s a separate question.
He’s still a take for me either way because the profile is so unique. Get him here and figure it out. There are flashes on defense. But we are bringing in other linebackers.
Imo he either needs to be Fully 100% at TE or LB. No in between. We haven't developed TE or LB well. Id assume a dude with his ranking is not cheap. We don't need a guy that takes 3 yrs to develop and staff will never play at those two position. If there is any chance they're looking at him at WR, just move on imo. Its wasteful in terms of time and money. Could he be good eventually at WR? Sure. Doesn't need to be here though. Put him at TE or LB fully and just move on to the next recruit at the opposite position. At this point as an Athlete, I’d guess. Without trying to drag this amazing thread out any further than I'd hope it would, I'll bother to point out the obvious. Yes kids play multiple positions, yet you don't have them just floating around the field at random on either side of the ball simply because of their traits. Contrary to popular belief Mario didn't learn under Satan. He refined things under him. He learned under Jimmy and Butch... This talk is straight from their wheelhouse. HOWEVER you don't take a kid who primarily plays linebacker and is undersized but because of his traits you say ahh **** it. He grades out like two elite wide receivers have so let's just put him there. **** NO YOU DONT PUT THIS KID AT RECIEVER. You do that you're just throwing away a kid with elite athletic traits life and future. What we used to do is well documented. You take kids who have more athletic traits on that side of the ball and based on your line up and your needs you see how they would look as a end, backer or safety... If anything what he just potentially illustrated with this is the kid has the athletic tools to be a game changer at safety if he's not physical enough to play backer. If it's because of smarts that this is being thrown about than the only thing he'll be able to play is tight end.At this point as an Athlete, I’d guess. Yes whether LB, SS, TE, EDGE, just leave him at 1 spot. I don't wanna see all the movement. This staff only does that when they aren't gunna play the dude. Look at Pruitt... They just don't play the hybrid guys.Without trying to drag this amazing thread out any further than I'd hope it would, I'll bother to point out the obvious.
