A little early to be drinking
When you recruit a true athlete, I believe you should be open minded.

People killed Golden for experimenting with Njoku at LB during his redshirt year, but it was a fine move. See what you have. Njoku ended up being a first round TE anyway, and a bunch of other position-switch guys went first round with him.

damnit mane, he gonna miss one tackle now and people are gonna want him at WR or asking if he can play RG.

But I mean your general premise is correct. If you recruit an athlete, find his best fit. I remember hearing that LSU TE that switched to DE when Saban was coach (dude played for cowboys for like 10 years in the league, cant remember his name) and Saban basically told him to switch, he was a TF All Conference player at TE, recruited to play TE, wanted to play TE, when Saban told him to switch his true soph year he said he was transferring to Miami Saban then showed him NFL salaries DE vs TE and he went on to play DE and was fine. Of course you experiment and if he turns into a Becker or Smith then **** yes.

Bigger issue may be we have a STACKED WR room going into next year and need help with LB, if the staff wants to experiment we need more true LB then from a roster management standpoint.

I think D$ is posting this cuz he knows something, and it might relate to the fact why we are swinging at more LB's this cycle.
Not necessarily. I just noticed that the two best draft-eligible WRs in the country were both 6'3 hurdling champs in high school and pulled the comparisons.

But as I reported a couple weeks ago, we are trying to add more linebackers to this class. And Randle is an elite athlete.

I hear you and you’re definitely on to something but no…but only because we need backers with better athletic traits. Heatherman has done a solid job finding guys since he’s been here but we need to keep upgrading that room.
