Walk with me

So you say who is ready to play? Well all the non freshman are ready. They just don’t get to

Maybe they suck? That's the one option you leave out of all your rants? Why is that not a possibility? We don't see practice every day

Outside of Wiley, they others also have had injuries that have hindered their development.

And as much as Tourre isn't a coverage LB, no matter what that PFF grade tells you, our season only continued past TAMU last season because of a Mo Tourre decapitation in coverage.

@DMoney distract us from this thread by dropping a new Bank!!!

I like lance’s take on randall playing ST first year or so to see how he fills out and narrow down where he can help us the most.
Only problem with that is you don't pay a kid as much as we're paying him for him to come and be a special teamer while he figures it out. The kid also will not be too fond of being nothing but a special teamer primarily for a couple of years wasting away he's eligibility and what he will view as being held back from achieving his future

Brother if that's your take I'm not here to convince you otherwise. I guess just everyone we've recruited in the last 5 years or so at linebacker didn't cut it for him and only the three that do (to say the very least extremely limited) are the only ones capable of playing at all for us... A coaches approach should always adjust to his personnel. I'm just really tired of people avoiding the facts were extremely limited with the dudes we choose to play and we'll never know what we have with the rest of the room if we refuse to play them ever. I've been to far too many practices and won't even mention any staff takes for me to go with none of them have shown they deserve reps. Only reason we play mo & chase is because we know exactly what we're getting. Being content with knowing we're getting flawed play doesn't make up for their flaws... They're both flat out worthless in passing downs and marcellin is essentially a carbon copy of both based on style of play and physical limitations... No matter how we feel about wileys maturity off the field, he's 10x the total player for the position than what we've chosen to use. Add to that the flaws we take from the others and why would we not give them some kind of reps atleast. Cause now we're just going into next season technically in an even worse position than we are currently in this one.
If they aren’t playing, it usually means they aren’t good enough. I don’t know what else to tell you.

Mario plays plenty of young guys that can prove they are trustworthy and there aren’t too many guys who didn’t play here that have gone on to big things elsewhere.

Maybe Wiley can run faster, but if he’s going to miss gap assignments or miss a coverage, I’d rather have a Toure clone.

To call that in coverage though is pretty difficult his strength and what he does or he's literally playing he don't care kill or kill him is downhill. Won't ever question his effort. I love the way the dude plays football how much is teammates love him etc. Dude is an amazing teammate and leader. However you take him outside of playing downhill and he becomes a huge liability. That play against A&m wasn't coverage it was him playing downhill or in a limited box. When he's in space him and Chase don't ever need to be on the field together they are both the same player. When he's in space either of them what happens is exactly what Florida State kept doing exactly what Wake Forest kept doing and exactly what the tape now shows against us

& No. They don't suck.

Oh they all suck... So strike against Heatherman for not developing anyone.

Lmao at defending You're based entirely on 1 play. Yeah someone that runs right at him he will lay out. Great play. Possibly the only one of maybe 2 pass plays he's ever made?

I fixed it for you. By the way your assumption on playing time being what let's you know if their good enough or not isn't accurate. Very rarely does pt alone tell you that story. But you win brother. This is pointless to continue.

Do we know how much he is getting paid or are we guessing? Linebacker is one of the least expensive positions in the sport.

Do you know the kid or are you just guessing? We probably paid Okunlola more than we are paying Randle and he sat a few years and now we are glad to have him.

Strike 1? What was our worst unit by far last season? What position did we completely ignore and not address in a loaded portal class at said position?

Just an expression dip****.

My point being that may or may not be (and again you don't know, you don't know a ******* thing because you don't know ball and you're a whining c-u-n-t) more realistic (his failure to develop them) then refusing to play someone who can play,

That's what's telling you this is what he wants for THIS defense... Plenty of **** good linebacker options were in the portal and this is where we are

Asking honestly, is there a single player who didn’t play here who went on to bigger and better things somewhere else? I can’t think of one.

I don't see much wrong outside of that tape between technique and lack of thump. He is built and plays a little top heavy… Needs to get a stronger base. He also appears to only line up at LB part time because they move him around (**** he's a deep safety on some of those highlights)

I don't think there's any reason to be down on this kid that wasn't there already.

Bro all your comments are always entirely useless. You don't want anyone commenting on anything it defeats the purpose of a forum.
We have game film. But you're all waaaah you can't say that you aren't at practice. Idgaf either heatherman ain't developing them or - and given when they play they've been good to fine meanwhile the current starters ALREADY have MAJOR ******* LIABILITIES - he's not playing them for other stupider reasons. Idgaf, what they are doing now is objectively stupid as **** and only a moron like you that thinks people can't post about it if they don't go to practice would defend it

Is there players who DID playe here who were liabilities that we could have had others playing and developing and got as good results with a hopefully higher ceiling? Hmm

I don't do much guessing and when I do I clarify exactly that. We paid pancake far more than him and pancake would've been on a completely different track had he not got injured and missed his freshman season. You keep saying things to justify something rather than realizing where circumstances alter. On top of that every position group has budgets set aside for their nil. Do you think a 5 star offensive lineman will ever get the same amount as a 5star linebacker let alone a 4star? No they won't because they don't have anywhere near the same allotment set aside for the position. One is a cornerstone of your entire team while the other no matter how good he becomes is simply a piece. But he's still a significant investment being a highly ranked and heavily recruited linebacker. One doesn't change the other

Probably not?

Can you give me examples of players that you think would have developed differently had they been given more PT here?

Again, I’m asking honestly. All I can think of guys that we made a huge fuss about giving PT to based on upside that they never realized.

What game film do you have that has been so great for these guys?

Wiley (again I like Wiley and hope he develops into a starter) getting some tackles against Bethune and FAMU? … And I'm as big a fan as Pruitt as there was on this board as a prospect, when has he been great in games? Big special teams hits?

I think this is sort of what I mean. Assuming elite linebackers aren’t a huge chunk of the budget, why not gamble a bit on an unfinished product who has absurd upside like Randle?

Is the overall point that the money could be allocated better on veteran linebackers in the portal? I’m trying to understand…
