Visions aint that Bleak! Sky Cam Review of the 10 sacks & Player Observations

@blackvern the wide receivers may not have been open but you don’t think Jarren had the opportunity to take more chances regardless if the receivers were covered?

Compared to NKosis game against FSU last year (4TDs, 0 INTs)... Jarren definitely had the cleaner game passing but he also played the safest. Nkosi took chances throwing the ball and it paid off... the Jeff Thomas catch up the middle between two defenders being one.

Do you think NKosi would’ve been better mentally prepared for this game in terms of not having as many delay of game penalties, being more decisive as a runner, and taking more chances challenging their DBs when there were opportunities to do so?
Every other game where Kosi took chances, it hurt us. It's more likely he just was lucky against FSU (as far as not getting turnovers). Either that or the football gods decided t o give us one.

There's a fine line between taking risks and being wreckless. If it just a play, it's wreckless. If it's a game situation, that can turn things around, it taking risks. Even then, you want to take the one that has the highest probability of success. You can't just wing it.

So you just forgot about that electric return against Va. Tech last year? Everybody drops punts once in a while Im not giving up on dude

Vern I'm not sure how you quoted me but I didn't say anything about Thomas not being on kickoffs.

Visions are not bleak from me, brother...but this is worrisome.

Miami takes the lead in the fourth quarter...IMMEDIATELY gets a turnover...DEEP in Florida territory...is having success with DeeJay Dallas and Cam'Ron Harris...go for it on 4th down, successful despite the two penalties...Miami ball still DEEP in the red zone. 1st down, roll out short throw to Mallory, incomplete...then they get cute with Martell in a wildcat (not bad for the red zone tbh) 2 yd gain with trickeration....next play, throw to the endzone, Jeff Thomas drops a ball for a surefire touchdown...missed FG.

This is like the holy trinity of Miami football on offense over the past decade.

Lack of commitment to the run game.
Getting cute in the red zone leading to no touchdown in the red zone.
Special teams struggles leading to no points in the red zone.
That 2nd down play killed us.
We got too **** cute

Rewatched the game this morning on Xfinity SkyCam to get another POV of Jarren and the offensive line and the game.

Offense:

- 1st Sack slow developing PA pass Jarren had no hope bad play call
-2nd sack delayed LB blitz where there were no hot reads everybody went long there was nothing that Jarren could do, he played it safe and took the sack
- Jarren under pressure from a blitz again hits Jordan right in the hands and he drops it on 3rd and 5 wouldve been a first down.
-3rd sack from a CB blitz on a slow developing play action pass no chance.
-4th sack on a delayed blitz by LB Play was designed to go deep to Mallory, Outcoached long developing play and perfect defensive play call.
-5th sack on a QB option play i dont know WTF that was
-6th and 7th sack nobody was open held the ball
-8th sack Zion beat by Zuniga there was absolutely no one open, best decision wouldve been to take off running
-9th sack he rolled away from immense pressure after a blitz got outside the pocket and froze he fumbled
-10th sack Zuniga read the snap count had a head start beat Zion you have to give it to a great player making a great play right there

Some Offensive LIneman Player Evals
- Zion actually played decent until last drives in 4th quarter and thats all we remember. I think it was a combination of him wearing down, and Zuniga pinnin his ears back and learning the snap count. I repeat go look at the tape Zion handled Moon. Zuniga played everywhere and was only one who beat Zion.
- Campbell on the other hand aint ready @Liberty City El I was holding out hope but he is not ready. I'd give him a few more games to see what happens but we might have to put Scaife out there . Campbell did recover Osbournes fumble on the 4th his best play of the day
-Scaife was a ******* beast out there he man handled Zuniga and everybody whom we went against easily our best lineman.
-Gaynor played decent untill that last snap!!

Key Points
*To be honest a lot of those sacks where he held the ball no one was open Jarren was holding the ball trying to keep the play alive to see if something pops open, he didnt wanna throw it away in the pocket or make a dangerous throw because it was obvious he was coached to not lose the game, but You have to give it to Floridas defense. On the blitzes Jarren needs to recognize them and know where to go we know he can do it (as on the TD pass to Brevin) The delayed blitzes are what really confused him which can only get better with experience. , he was trying to make a play he will learn

*Zuniga and the D Line were slanting inside all night and destroyed a lot of our run plays, more running plays should have been called to the outside Grantham outcoached Enos in that sense.

* I feel we should have made JT4 a bigger part of the game, why we are running reverses to Osborne instead of him I have no idea.

* Our running backs are very good not elite in space. Im hoping Lingard will change that when he returns against N. Carolina

* Please somebody tell me why we ran the read Option with Tate in the Red Zone when Dallas was killing it??

*Bunch formation sets are a night mare against blitzing DB's bad coaching decision by Enos

*Zion will be fine, Campbell on the other hand

Defense

-A lot of plays where we only rushed 3, the porsters on here obviously couldnt see we were more worried about Franks running then throwing the times we pinned our ears back we got to him and pressured him. He's big and strong and broke the tackles of two sacks. Shaq looks faster as he did the beginning of the year last year he ran down perrine on a few screens.

- Secondary looked good Frierson played awsome. Blades and Hall need to work on their tackling Hall and blades both missed a few. A. Carter played awesome. I see why he started over D. Smith. he can run.

- D Line looked the best against the run as long as I can remember. Ford was unblockable and Bethel played great.
- Rousseau and Hill need to get more PT they caused pressures
- Patchan was solid and recovered a FF
- Jimmy Murphy was haulin *** on KR

In conclusion,

I cant remember a time where we held down an offense of UF's caliber on the road. Although we didnt deserve to win the game we were a muffed punt , a missed FG and dropped td away from winning the game. Both teams were penalized heavily. I think Enos got outcoached by Grantham it happens, but I cant lie im a little worried about it. I will give Enos the benefit of the doubt we were on thorad first start for a freshman QB and two freshman tackles. Their blitzes confused us all night. He went away from motion and crossing routes, guys just were not open and its easy to see on SkyCam. A great team wins that game a good team loses them. Sucks but we couldve won this game. We arent great but these next 3 months will show how good we are.

Great breakdown on last night’s game. Thanks for taking the time to do so, and giving us what I would think is an objective view of both the game and where the team is at currently. Let’s see how the next 2 weeks go as far as adjustments go. I was disheartened to see that Enos didn’t give JDub much in the way of a safety valve when under pressure, which was constant. Also though quick slants would’ve opened up more of the field. That Enos went on too many slow developing plays which didn’t help the offense at all. He’s got to understand what he’s got OL wise and plan accordingly. No rollouts and lack of use of JT4 was also a blunder I believe.

Defensively I thought after some initial adrenaline rush that we settled down and that Baker did a good job calling defensive schemes. I too would’ve loved to see more pressure on Franks but I understand why he spied him with Garvin or Shaq to avoid him getting a full head of steam, moving that 245lbs against our secondary. I thought Frierson did alright, they went to that one seams play earlier and we should’ve known it was coming again given they almost landed it.

All in all, was hoping for a victory and Lord knows we almost pulled it off. There is a lot of learning to do from the game for sure and I pray the coaching staff realize so, so we can gain valuable experience from it to take with us to Chapel Hill in 2 weeks.

After watching the game again. @blackvern was on point with the Oline. Zion got his *** handed to him the whole fourth quarter but he was decent before that. Campbell is a way bigger problem. He was getting pushed back all game long, plus the false starts. The delay blitz was money for florida just like last year for LSU. Enos play calling bothered me yesterday after the game. Watching it the second time, it bothers me even more. The amount of draws and slow hands in the 2nd half didn't make sense. DJ and Cam didn't even have a chance. Not one WR screen pass from the shotgun in the 2nd half after all the success we had in the first half. There so many times they where in zone and back off. We should have WR screen to Henderson side because his soft *** wasn't trying to hit anyone. There is so much more but we can only move on from here.

No changes to the snap count, no uptempo play calling, no no huddle. We did horribly at neutralizing the the rush

And put JDub under center WAY too much in my book, especially after the tackles were getting whipped all game long. Why didn’t Enos put him in shotgun more so A. He had more time to survey the field and B. Put in more slants and dump-offs to help Williams get the ball out quickly and take advantage of the blitz?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wishful_thinking
Studies have consistently shown that holding all else equal, subjects will predict positive outcomes to be more likely than negative outcomes

A much more pertinent one for your ilk though https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect

It's ok for your ilk to never comprehend. :)

Why do you even like the team? All you do is whine and *****, tell you what; we’ve heard that for the past 16yrs too. Go suck off Clemson’s *** or Saban’s ballsack. We don’t need you rooting on a team your ilk professes to like.

Please reread my post. Nowhere do I make any claims about positive outcomes, thereby negating your argument about wishful thinking. Likewise, i would have had to make claims involving some kind of knowledge to in any way suffer from Dunning-Kruger.

I referred to you as a clown, which is both your avatar and my opinion of you.

One last thing. I notice you're fond of the term "ilk". I see more reasons for optimism than pessimism. If my "ilk" is rational people who don't overreact and understand that no team can go from 7-6 to national champs in a year, then I'll happily be included in that group. But you and your ilk,the festering vaginas who think the sky is falling because we didn't win by 150 points, will still be Idiots.

:xvfmlqq:

The Osborne sweep call was mind boggling. Osborne is not a speedster; he’s a possession receiver. We have Pope, JT4, and Harley, yet we run it w Osborne?

The lack of audibles to catch UF blitzing as well. All these things could be considered little, but they added up quickly to our demise
Hey it's the little things that make the big things happen

Just think, what would have changed if We won the game? Maybe Martell played more than planned cause of injury. So the OC Was forced to KISS. Everything is still inplace, win coastal, ACC and playoffs'is a giving. We wasn't giving up the game but had to change gameplan cause Tate WAS in so much🤷🏾‍♂️ just a thought. We all know the OC smart enough to give the tackle some help huh🤔? That make sense and if that WAS the case, with all da Adversity We really WAS2 bad holding calls from the🦓 IMO from beating the *******, despite all our mess ups.
