Virginia OC Robert Anae

I don't know if he is the right fit socially with Miami but he is a very intelligent OC.

Been saying it, we must have seen 100 names mentioned over the last 15 year search for a good OC, not one has even come to fruition. This will be no different. There's 30 OC running the spread who good do the job, but we'll still muck it up with a guy like this.

It's obvious, manny's got no body who's interested.
Unless they get the Buyout blue light special OC for one year get fired by new HC buyout for (3) more .
We’ve offered this for years heck I’D DO IT NOW.
Miami leads the nation in buyouts.

Randy just finished his
Golden has his going plus a rider
Enos got his
Manny will have a nice one
New OC will get one
New HC in his contract
Throw in all the other fired coaches with new HC.

Miami hot bed for buyouts

I'd much rather have some other guys, but at the same time, I don't think he's hot trash like everyone's saying he is. The guy knows what he's doing. He's called some good games and bad games. He doesn't curl my toes, but I also don't think he's a failure from the moment he steps on campus either. I could see him possibly succeeding here, but I definitely prefer a lot of other names.

Not really. I'm not suggesting he's the right fit at Miami. Just that he's not trash

This is from Barry Jackson's article

Virginia ranked just 88th in yards this season (388.9) but 40th in points at 32.1. UM, by comparison, averaged 367.2 yards and 25.7 points. Under Anae, Virginia ranked 21st in total offense (yards) in 2018.

And under Anae, 61, BYU ranked 26th and 21st in the country in passing offense and 14th and 34th in scoring offense during Anae’s final two seasons there. In 2014, BYU averaged 37.1 points under Anae, most for the program since 2001.

During Anae’s first tenure as offensive coordinator at BYU, the Cougar offense was extremely successful, earning top-25 NCAA statistical rankings in 10 different offensive categories a total of 35 times, including 15 top-10 ratings.

BYU ranked in the top 25 in third-down efficiency each of Anae’s six seasons (2005-10), including a No. 1 ranking in 2009 and No. 2 ratings in 2008 and 2006. The Cougars were in the top-6 in passing offense three times (2005, 2006, 2008) during his first tenure overseeing the BYU offense.

Anae has taken some spread principles from his time working with coaches Mike Leach and Rich Rodriguez.

The last time he was relevant as an OC we were relevant as a program. Let that sink in.

Manny is a ***** for even calling this guy.

By the end of this nightmare debacle we're somehow going to be linked to rumors of Al Groh joining the staff too.

The more things change the more they stay the ******* same.
