3.9 ypc is never awesome in CFB. He was clutch on multiple occasions, and earned free drinks for life status. I'm not hating on him. I hope he does a lot better than 3.9 ypc in 2026 and does contribute.
We run up the center’s *** half the time. I still think the running game scheme is sub par. But no he’ll never be super explosive. But mature and reliable

You people are nuts. Every RB isn’t going to be great in Pass Pro. There are many very good RB’s in the league who can’t Pass Block. Pringle is way too explosive to not play. Dawson gets paid a lot of money to find ways to get him on the field. Figure it out.

The crazy take here is saying Marty who was a 3.9 ypc RB last year should be head or get any reps at all. He was like 3rd or 4th string somewhere around the Syracuse game because he was so ineffective. We sure as **** hope some of our guys take his reps.

I understand giving him reps in the playoffs as he was reliable and already had playoff experience over a smaller true freshman. But yeah we need way better at Miami to get #6.
Yeah I don’t understand why people keep acting like Pringle ain’t better than Marty lol. When fletcher went out, for the Syracuse game, we split the carries evenly between Marty, Lyle and Pringle which led to Pringle becoming rb1 for NCST the next week.

I feel like Pringle isn’t Cristobal’s archetype at rb but the results cannot be denied. As well as the facts. Against Pitt, Pringle and fletcher both had ten carries with Pringle having nearly triple the rushing yards. Marty brown had 8 for 16. The week before against VT, Pringle had 14 carries while Marty and Fletcher had a combined 8.

Marty had a dreadful game against Stanford. Lyle went 4 for 24 w/ one carry going 17 yards. Hellcat also had a bad day. This is what opened the doors for Pringle to rise up the depth chart.

Marty is a good third down back and has talent, not tryna put a ceiling on him. . . But it’s him and Lyle whose carries should be threatened by Mallory’s ascension; Pringle shouldn’t even be in that conversation or we’re going to have to relearn the mistakes of last year all over again.

Please post the evidence he couldn't block. Which sack or QB pressure did he give up? Which missed assignment?
The evidence is right in front of your eyes, buddy. Did you watch the playoffs? Did you notice that you didn’t see Pringle out there? Do you know why he wasn’t out there, because he can’t block. Now, I of course hope he’s gotten better at it in the off-season because if he hasn’t, you’re not gonna see him that much out there. Your takes on here are other worldly bad, like almost retarded. Do you realize that?

What did letting it rip mean in actuality because Beck’s worst games (and ours as a team) were his highest passing attempts games lol
Mainly the play calling and expanding the run game outside of the A gap. I don’t remember which game Dawson ran it off tackle but it was glorious. Running it out of the pistol formation. And we started using Toney in trick plays and all over the field getting touches…offense stopped playing in a phone booth.. we let it rip.
To some degree this is true. However most of Pringles production was simply DUO typically the A gap. He's just got a great feel for where to cut off the double team. He also squeezes thru our tight splits a lot better than our other backs. He fits our scheme surprisingly well for a smaller RB. This is why I keep saying pull the tape.

So you have no examples then of said can't block status. I mean for someone posting with such confidence that he surely can't block there must be a lot of evidence out there to prove your point.

As I said before putting Marty in the game because he is a better blocker and they are more confident with him is a lot different than said player not being able to block.

Ok cool because i always took letting it rip as a euphemism for more passes which i didn’t find to be the case when we improved. Agreed on the variety added; especially the pistol formation being the key

Do you want to continue to live in some sort of alternate reality where Pringle actually played in the playoffs last year, then by all means my friend, but I would recommend getting some psychiatric help because I feel like there could be some schizophrenia going on with you. Smh I mean, you are unbelievable with these Pringle takes, like laughable. I’m gonna give you a little dose of reality here, Pringle didn’t play in the playoffs because he can’t block and if you watched the reps he did get, you can see that as clear as day. Let me know when you get on some lithium and you start seeing the world a little clearer and we can talk more about it. Till then, I guess continue with your delusional takes. Best of luck to you, just like best of luck to you on Jacob’s being wide receiver, number 3 this year. Lol

Excellent points. Yeah I'm just kind of confused as to why Pringle isn't considered the obvious #2 at least. I thought that was settled already.

#1 I never said Jacobs would be WR #3. Find it, I dare you. There's not even really a WR #3 in our system BTW. There's a slot, Z, and X.

#2 I continue to await your evidence of said not being able to block status.

Prior to Pringle taking over the running game and carrying us....

Fletcher's ypc average
2.3
3.3
4.6
5.6

Pringle averaged 6.0 ypc last year. He sparked and carried the team without Mark. I realize Fletcher took over and became a **** legend in the A&M game. I still consider it his team. But yeah I am at a loss trying to figure out why it's controversial to say Pringle will end up the best RB. Prior to the A&M game the debate was if it was Pringles team.
You're saying he's the best RB but then you say he'll end up the best RB. Two different things. The first is unequivocally false - Fletcher is our best RB. The second could well end up being true - I love the way he hits the hole. Despite being the fastest guy on the team, you can run him inside and he'll find a tiny crease and take it. That's a quality that can make a great RB - none of our other backs have that. But he needs to get stronger and become an acceptable blocker.

Thats fair

Figured this was the case

Bell and Francis to Samson and Mccoy is probably a huge drop off in pass pro. Going to be alot of max protection, teams will counter by dropping 8
We’re going to be in an unexpected dog fight or two in September. The fanbase swears we’re going to steamroll both Stanford and wake but the tone coming out of camp about our o line/offense says otherwise. It’s not surprising at all given the new pieces on the o line but it will be very disappointing if the passing O never comes together this year with the weapons.

Hopefully the RPO is back to being used heavily like 24 because that will help tremendously
