The thing I like the most about the TO chain is that it is pure Miami and a new tradition that is exclusive to Miami. Other teams copy it but it could never ever be duplicated. We are the only ones who do it right.

We can't really say that about too many other things. For instance the putting up the 4 fingers in the 4th quarter is a tradition I love but we were not the first to do it.
I hope we always have the TO chain and years down the line it gets bigger, flashier and gaudier.

The TO chain is genius. It screams Miami. It's a lot of fun. And it's the only turnover prop that the other teams and the media talk about. It's in the opposing players and coaches heads. Not one other turnover prop is even close to the turnover chain in effectiveness. No one gives a flip about Bama's turnover belt or those shoulder pads in Georgia. FSU's got attention because it is so bad.

Yeah, it’s too bad our championship teams didn’t have it. Players make plays, not chains. You can cry next year when it’s gone.

STFU you retarded simpleton bc those guys got MONEY for turnovers...cold hard fuggin CASH!

I'm so sick of retards like you...this is a different day & age.

I guess the greatest CFB coach (Saban) should get rid of the turnover belt bc his and other Bama title teams didn't have it.

and it's never ever leaving Hoe.

I think ThomasM's point is valid that the fans are being depicted as people who just want to see the chain on television which i agree is a stupid way to depict what is going on by the announcers.
The Fans are celebrating the Turnovers and the chain. As Richt said the chain itself would be a laughing stock if it were not for the many TOs the team forces.

The chain is ICONIC now....sitting in the Rock on Saturday down 27-7..I kept saying we need a turnover bc the team and the crowd is going to go crazy when that chain comes out bc our kids needed that energy, we fans needed that energy to give to the team and that chain coming out did it.

Had Pink ran that pick back for a td...the got **** roof may have come off the stadium.

You and him both are idiots bc no one is being depcited that way.

Go root for Miami of Ohio.

The chain is friggin' ingenious. Not only does it motivate our guys, it gets the whole stadium pumped up when the recipient of the chain stands on the bench and waves to the crowd. It's like celebrating a touchdown. Yes, the crowd is really excited about the score but the celebration adds so much fun to the play. Now, not only do our players and fans love the chain, the national media does too. Miami is getting a guaranteed high light on ESPN even against some bum team like Virginia because they want to show that clip of a player getting a pick and getting the chain draped over his shoulders.

Possibly the best thing about the chain is how it seems to always be on opponents's minds. They see it, they hate it, they will do anything to avoid having it come out and rubbed in their faces. Teams that over stress about turnovers play too tight and often too conservative. So, keep the turnover chain in your heads and in your mouths, Virginia.
And once it actually comes out..... Nail in coffin.

You're a fool. The announcers spend half their time talking about the fans wanting to see the chain. Man, I want to see turnovers. Don't be so **** sensitive.

At times the media does go overboard and says silly things and general statements like the fans are all here to see the chain.

Logically we can all agree that If we won 45-0 and the chain never came out I am sure everyone would be just as happy or even happier than what happened on Saturday with all the chains.

But the fact of the matter is the chain is something that provides special celebrations unique to Miami and it is fun that it usually comes out after a big play.

It is not something our fans should be arguing about like it is some sort of religious canon. It is a fun prop that fits with the style of the team and the city. Something that is taking the world by storm.

My guy it’s not that difficult.

The chain is a symbol of chaos.

Fans want to see the chain because that means we just created a turnover. It’s energy that feeds back into itself.

For ***** sake.

So, a turnover now means more than a turnover in 2001?

Listen, I like the chain, I just don't think it's the reason for the celebration, like the talking heads say. They make it sound like the turnovers wouldn't happen without the chain, and that everyone just wants to see the chain. No, we want to see turnovers.

No a turnover is a turnover but it’s also not 2001. The kids like these type of things.

Also the turnover and the chain aren’t mutually exclusive.

People root for the chain because they want the turnover, the chain just happens to be a symbol , and apart of our culture now .
