Usc fans on chip kelly....

The three seasons before Kelly arrived at Oregon to run the offense they were 5-6, 10-2, and 7-6.

They then won 9 games, 10, 10, 12, 12, 12.......I'd say he had a large influence.

DAS ******* IT MANE!!!

Something I need to add about Chip Kelly, living up here in Oregon all these years: The dude was famous (infamous) for not just wanting to win, but to literally destroy the opponent. His personality is evidently ruthless. Was he good at smooshing the alumni and the media? Not so much.

I hasten to add this tidbit about his practices: Routinely described as going "100 miles per hour." That's both offense and defense.

Needless to say, I've yet to meet a duck that doesn't cringe when the subject of USC possibly hiring Chip Kelly comes up.

Seriously, anyone who thinks Chip wouldn't win big at Miami needs a lobotomy.

SC board has one legit point.. our personnel and chips offense aren't a match.. jack allison would certainly go elsewhere too.

Pretty sure Kelly's early offenses at UNH were pass dominant. Just to put that out here

There should be zero doubt in anyone's mind that Kelly would be the ultimate hire for us.

I remember Laus (RIP) years ago talking about how we should be running an offense similar to one like Kelly's due to our recruiting base. Pro style can go fly a kite, times have changed, and our base is full of players who would destroy team with an up tempo attack.

People used to say Jimmy Johnson coached with both middle fingers in the air. Chip Kelly coaches the same way.

It would be a disaster but anyonewho says thatwill get blasted. Scared of this hire even though i know we wont hire him, just give me butch or someone who fecruits like a boss and coaches d

Can do better? You are talking about a coach that went to Oregon and ran train on most teams. He has issues like every coach but putting up points, making it to big games, and doing it with 2* and 3* left overs isn't exactly run of the mill. Dude got M.M. drafted in the 1st round and he was some unknown kid out of Hawaii.

I don't understand how people complain about Chip didn't win a championship in his 4 years...

We can't even win the **** ACC coastal over here.

He lost 3 conference games in 4 seasons.

The last three coaches we've had have all lost that many each year or more minus Coker for two years.

So Jimmy Johnson is coming back to UM? I will take the 1986 team over the 2001 team. Both were great and equally loaded on offense and defense, but the 1986 team was just a bit better at key positions. Butch was very good, but do you really think he can catch lightning in a bottle and do it twice? That is a big gamble.

For you Chip Kelly fans... - WeAreSC

Read up. Looks JUST like the Canes board. A lot of usc fans NOT sold on Kelly.... Weird.
USC is stuck in the same time warp we are in. They're always clamoring for the pro style, I believe they're always clamoring to get coaches from the Pete Carrol era. Both programs are identical in many ways, and the stupidity of a portion of their fan base is no different

Unfortunately for them, they do not have a former HC begging to come back who built the greatest team in history for them. Their heron left them in huge ncaa scandal. Ours got us through one as big.

I recall UNC fans not wanting Roy williams...he didn't have a Ring. 2 Championships later...

NUTS, Roy was warmly welcomed home by none other than the Dean himself....

agreeed, but the fanbase kept saying, well we need someone who can win the big one. Apparently he can and has.

Roy won only because he lucked into 2 PGs who ran the system he forces on his players. He does no adapt to his talent at all. Plus there is no one better at getting 1 and done players to return, ruining their draft stocks. Duke fans hope this guy never leaves. He is an awful coach...

Please stop putting Butch in the same sentence as Chip. Nobody in their right mind thinks he's in the same stratosphere as Chip
