US News 2017 rankings are out....

Miami's endowment per student is $52,665 versus $29,513 for Florida. Almost 2x the resources and 1/4 the class size.
The endowment per student doesn't mean 2x the resources. They don't spend the endowment, they earn money on to reinvest or spend. And UF has way more students.

That said, Miami degree way more valuable nationally than UF.

Hey being a top 40's institution and # 1 in Florida is a huge selling points to parents and recruits that value their education. Throw in the small class sizes and this is another tool in Coach Mark Richt's toolbox.

Apparently so is excellent criminal defense team that keeps your rapist child out of misprision and on the field. Remember that RB's mom who was so happy how Jimbo protected Winston? Starting with JJ, our graduation rate has been outstanding. While Bobby was in teens, JJ was over 50. Our players have always graduated well without any recognition. I hear kids talk that stuff and then go to trash school anyway. I have UM degree. It's value when way up after that first NC and climbed through roof for years after. It's value has plummeted since Donna got her fat little fingers on it. Enrollment, like fans, come with winning, being the hot team, the in place. Without enrollment, a university is nothing. I would trade 30 places on the US News ranking for one more NC.

We were as high as 38 a few years ago.

In the 2012 US News Issue The []_[] was 38; normal range has been around 44-52 past 10 years or so.

Right after the 38, Shapiro broke and the rating nosed down. Frenk being from Harvard helped in the all important institutional score.

In other news, O$UCk, despite getting an astronomical share of state funding, still can't crack the top 50!

Shapiro had absolutely nothing to do with the U.S. News Rankings.

Have you looked at the formula US News uses? Take a look at this from this year's methodology article:

"Undergraduate academic reputation (22.5 percent): The U.S. News ranking formula gives weight to the opinions of those in a position to judge a school's undergraduate academic excellence. The academic peer assessment survey allows top academics – presidents, provosts and deans of admissions – to account for intangibles at peer institutions, such as faculty dedication to teaching."

After Shapiro broke with the big Yahoo! expose from Sparty Boy, there was no way these other university leaders, especially if they already had a bad vibe to UM, could not have marked UM down on the surveys US News sent them; it's human nature.

The academic nerds who fill out these surveys wouldn't know Nevin Shapiro from Peter Ariz. To say that Miami (FL)'s undergraduate academic reputation score was impacted by Nevin Shapiro paying for abortions and lap dances for football players stretches the bounds of credulity.

Those kids typically end up in places like Stanford and ND. Sorry dude but nobody in the outside world looks at Miami the same way they do the top level schools. And most don't care about the difference between FSU and Miami.

Respectively disagree on a few points.

In my experience, yes Stanford (along with CIT) are essentially considered "West Coast Ivy League"...U of Chicago and Northwestern are "Midwest Ivy League" and Duke is considered "Southern Ivy League"...

After that, never met a.single.competent hiring authority who valued ND over Miami...both have that.."oh you went there factor?"....
44
and Ive never seen an FSU experience valued over Miami...in fact, FSU is often lumped in with the Bama/LSU/Ole Miss/UGA crowd...even though they rank.ahead of them...

I will.say UFs rep is close to Miami...

its very surprising the number of.people who believe Miami.is a huge state school...very few realize its another private Vandy/Wake/SMU/TCU/Duke size school in Florida...

I wouldn't throw any respect at this mope. Every single one of his posts is about taking a huge shīt on anything positive about Miami. The hate just shows right through.

You are one funny dude man....it has nothing to do about taking a huge **** on anything...recruits (or most of them) could give a rat's *** about Miami's academic ranking....yeah sure they all give the canned answer that they do so nobody thinks less of them....but they don't care...they care about winning games and playing for titles....then off to the NFL...and lastly, I have never come across anybody that pushes praise of Miami for the academics...to them it's there's the top academic schools and then everybody else....Miami falls into the latter.

You guys always pull this out of your *** when academic rankings come out and how it will have an impact on recruiting like it's part of the selling point the recruits really care about....that sht goes in one ear and out the other to them...maybe their parents care a little more but surely not the recruits listening to the academic pitch.

But keep on thinking it's a personal attack against Miami and keep throwing out the reality of the situation.

Completely useless info, no savage football recruit cares about this ****.

The smart ones do. So long as it doesnt put AD admissions standards out of reach, its an advantage in SOME of the minds of those that have influence with these savages.

Why not use every advantage you can get.

Total cūnt reply from a cūnt hater. Nobody, I mean nobody, said any recruit is picking Miami based solely, or even as a big factor, because of this.

It's just another thing on the balance scale, with winning and NFL prospect/performance/development as the two primary factors. It's still a very nice thing to have. As are upgraded facilities, nice location, good looking honeys, etc.

But like the miserable bitter cūnt that you are, you take a shīt on it. Just any opportunity to take a shīt on the program, you do it, and you just actually did it AGAIN. Proving my point.

You are literally the biggest puzzy I have come across on these boards. Quit crying about everything you don't like or want to hear. Go crawl back into your little safe space because my words offend you. Miami fans should be embarrassed that you are also a fan. So in other words, go fck yourself fa ggot

That feels when got accepted into the University of Miami with a 17k scholarship and still couldn't afford it. Why does this beautiful institution in my city have to be a private one... Sigh.

What I love about CIS...

A post that starts off with Miami's new Top 50 (a very good mark) university ranking...

That devolves into f ag and c unt insults...

Perhaps even by those who arent current students or alumni...

Is that the best you have? I will talk football with you any time you choose. You obviously have little understanding of recruiting and college football in general.
