Those kids typically end up in places like Stanford and ND. Sorry dude but nobody in the outside world looks at Miami the same way they do the top level schools. And most don't care about the difference between FSU and Miami.

In my experience, yes Stanford (along with CIT) are essentially considered "West Coast Ivy League"...U of Chicago and Northwestern are "Midwest Ivy League" and Duke is considered "Southern Ivy League"...
After that, never met a.single.competent hiring authority who valued ND over Miami...both have that.."oh you went there factor?"....

and Ive never seen an FSU experience valued over Miami...in fact, FSU is often lumped in with the Bama/LSU/Ole Miss/UGA crowd...even though they rank.ahead of them...
I will.say UFs rep is close to Miami...
its very surprising the number of.people who believe Miami.is a huge state school...very few realize its another private Vandy/Wake/SMU/TCU/Duke size school in Florida...
