US News 2017 rankings are out....

you’re inflating Miamis value by a lot. It’s about on par w UF. It has always been that way. Either way, it shouldn’t be as low as it is

Thanks for the response. I am looking into data analytics online at Miami after my MBA. GT and UT are very cheap and offer it, but my employer will cover most of the cost, and I can rep the U.
 
If you have roughly the same rankings and methodology every year it doesn't help a business model dependent now on clicks or your "College Compass" subsciption service.

You always will have a change up between HYSP at the top for the obsessed students (or more likely, their parents) and then try to shake things up down the rankings to feed the beast. Looks like the mantra was to push Publics higher up and hit privates by minimizing what makes them special.

Forget schools gaming the system, USNWR is gaming it for $$$.

Donna herself will tell you that the school academically is stronger now than it was when she stepped down. I'm not speculating on that. She will also tell you that most of the things being measured, even if we assume they were perfect measures of academic quality, most of the metrics are actually measuring the academic quality of the school 5 to 10 years ago, not today.

You’ll see what frenk is really doing to Miami soon enough. Wished he would have been booted if not for Covid. A ton of well connected posters will point that out. For Donna, I took her class. Smart lady good academic president. Met her a bunch of times while she was there following grad for diff events I’d get invited to. The school is good, but the marketing matters. Miami is on par w UF. As such, it should never be that low.
