I was replying to a post where he stated that no DIv 1 school in FL was competing for a conference championship. Read earlier posts.

These are the type post that you have to stay on high alert to.

Waddell is better than Jeudy? Jeudy all hype....

In 2017 he was second on the team in catches with 14 Calvin Ridley had 63

In 2018
He lead the team with 68 catches and 1300 yards...Waddell has 45 catch and 850 yards.

In 2019 Juedy leads the team with 71 catches...Waddell 32...

Like there is no substance to your post. Waddell is a great special teams player and a dynamic weapon that you need to find creative ways to get the ball in his hands but he is no where near the WR that Jeudy is.

You want to hate on So Florida ballers go ahead but at least do it in an educated way.

You sound like the miss informed posters in this thread who don’t actually know anything about the HS football scene.

You watch the canes and think because they are poorly coach and poorly developed that it’s a sign of the kids.

The canes don’t reflect HS ball down here.

It isn't really when you consider how big of a business high school football has become in the last decade to decade and a half. Add in the money spent on coaching at that level and the gains in strength and nutrition, you're in to something. Top it all off with the dollars spent at those schools and you get those numbers.

There are athletes in S. FL, nobody disputes that. They're raw as **** and underdeveloped coming into college though so it's a crapshoot with some exceptions being the elite of the elite.

He’s a hall of game coach. He had Utah balling at one point due to his offensive scheme and developing players. He went like 22-2 in the 2 years he was there.

what he did at bowling green in his short span is still considered today to be one of the greatest turnarounds in the history of the NCAA ... add Matt Rhule to that list now. But we’re talking about a GOAT coach.

Bobby Bowden has allllllllll that talent allllllll those years and won how many rings? 2?

Urban won that at Florida in like years because he knew 1. How to eye talent, 2. Develop it 3. Coach it up.
S. Fla teams are HIGHLY undisciplined and rely heavily off of pure talent just like Fsu did when they won w Winston and Freeman/Cook

I would say it's a combo.

Add in that they're all mercenaries from a young age, they don't have that all in attitude. **** gets tough or a better perceived opportunity presents itself, they bounce.
 
Backed in the day you could develop players when you had higher scholarships limits : **** you could even redshirt a complete class How many freshmen actually had key roles on those teams

^^Wow, look at all those Florida players. Thats a whopping 3 players between four teams. As many of you’ve stated, and as the evidence clearly shows, the CFP teams are good because they continue to steal all the Florida talent!

That may be the case "this" season but that wasn't the case last year or in recent years. Florida players helped get many of these top teams to the point they are now.


The previous couple of years Hollywood Brown was OU best and most explosive skill player.

LSU has had FL players but really doesn't need to go OOS much at all. Peterson from SFL started their little DBU claim though.

OSU cherrypicks Florida better than most. When they won in 2003 their entire WR group was from FL, their best DT and best DB.

Clemson - Watkins and Spiller were their first stars to set things off there. Since then they have been in Florida cherrypicking as well, They may sign X.Henderson and Bowman this class out of Florida.

Hollywood Robinson is one guy from OUs roster last year and the year before. Where are the other FL guys?

Patrick Peterson played at LSU **** near 10 years ago. Spiller played at Clemson over 10 years ago.

The Ohio state team was **** near 20 years ago, mang!

I think this post says a lot. The top schools still cherry pick the best kids from Florida, but they don’t build through Florida. Bama and LSU build through LA, MS, AL, and Texas. Georgia and Clemson build through Georgia and the Carolinas. OSU builds through Ohio and the northeast with a strong national presence as well. OU goes through Texas.

It’s tougher to build a strong foundation for a team through Florida players.

this right here^^^this is exactly what I’ve been saying. Those teams cherry pick FL, but are in no way building through Florida. Clemson has one FL guy starting, LSU has none, and Ohio State only has 2. OU has none this year, and only had 1 in previous years (Hollywood)

Some posting on CIS will have you believe the very lifeblood of those teams are from FL talent but that’s not even remotely true. Not even close to being true.

Build your team with Florida players and you get Miami over the past 16 years and FSU over the past decade.
