There's a TON of aggressive homophobia in this thread. It's pretty shocking. I get some of the jabs based on his announcement. I get that it goes very well with Texas A&M's general weird and suspect pageantry. That's funny. But some of the other stuff being posted is just straight up angry.

The direct result of it being forced in every single show, movie, etc.

After a while it no longer becomes a sensitive topic nor should it be.

It really shouldn’t matter what your preference is.

There are many UM posters here that really are an embarrassment to society. So many here have convicted this kid as being *** or alluding to that in a coy way. Does that make the kid a bad person? You were all going to crown him the King of the recruiting class but when he chose Texas A&M now he perceived like mental kid of some sort. I have 5 *** 1st cousins and they are warm hearted, loving, and very dear to me. Yes, I do NOT at all agree with their lifestyle and I am a big time conservative. Have a little more class if that's possobe for some of you. I wish the kid well but don't think he would fit into the UM culture at all. Quite frankly I'm very surprised that the coaching staff coveted this kid considering all the signs pointing to him wanting to leave Miami. Good luck to the kid and I believe we dodged a bullet here. His antics after picking Texas A&M were certainly bizarre and weird nut he's a young kid. Some of you need to get a lesson in life! GO CANES

Fine - since you asked politely, I’ll do the worst thing possible on the internet and explain the joke.

About 3% of Americans identify as homosexual. For you to have 5 *** first cousins is beyond a statistical anomaly.

Where the joke comes in: there is an internet theory that exists where eating shrimp makes people “turn” ***. If that theory holds true, one explanation for having five 1st cousins all be *** is to have lots and lots of shrimp at the family picnics.
