Unpopular here but the hatred for coaches is bizarre

That might be true' but being a true cane isn't good enough if you can't take a knee winning a game if you can't recognize we have a problem at QB and still keep playing a turn over machine if you can't make half time adjustments if got your hands in the offense and hurting the team. Bro i have no doubt he's a true CANE. My doubt is his coaching ability. I see improvement as far as talent wise' but that's about it. Nobody is hating on the coach. WE just see major deficiencies and his coaching ability and they are major
Soooo, we HATE him?? Got it

I get being passionate and wanting nothing more than to see this program back on top. I truly do, but there is a difference between being critical and downright hating coaches. Trust me. I wasn't too thrilled about that Ga Tech game. But JC boys. I mean, people are still obsessed with hating Golden and Diaz. Is there something I missed? Was there a story that came out that showed Golden and Diaz conned their way into getting the job just to secretly sabotage the program? I guess we live in a country now where conspiracy theories are real news so maybe that's it? Not only is there so much hate, but to one of our own?? What?? CMC has more Miami Hurricane in him that many fans combined. Again, I understand being critical, but some take this way too far. Not to mention, if you truly take a step back, you would see significant progress. I am still convinced we were a top QB from possibly being undefeated. One player could have had this board singing a much different tune. So being a message board guy since Grassy(boy do i miss that board), I know Ill get the typical "alpha male"(another loser term) responses or the responses that have nothing to do with what I said, and thats cool. I am probably asking for it but for me, win or lose Mario is a true Cane and thats enough for me to tone down the rhetoric.
This make the rest of your post absolutely irrelevant

Fans are invested into this the same way players and coaches are invested into this. The problem isn't that we suck for two decades, of course, on the surface area it may be that way, but the far bigger problem is something else:

It's how we suck. How Golden didn't throw out his DC despite it being obvious that he sucks. How Manny Diaz refused to give in on a defense that made HS coaches chuckle and question his senses. And now, how Mario, after seeing glimpses of modern football in 2020 and 2021, goes back to reverting Miami into its irrelevant state.

It's embarrassing and unnecessary. If we were a talented team or if we simply were too small of a school and the gap to the front would be too big, I'd be sure fans wouldn't be too upset. They'd be proud of the underdog role. But the blueprint to a winning football team is out there. It exists. And not only have we ignored it for two decades, we then decide to find out that it works for us, only to revert back into what didn't work. Its like watching a grown man trying to fit a circle into a square. At some point, you just refuse to be patient.

People love this program too much, but everyone realizes, if Mario fails, this entire thing fails and the final shot of getting it done may have been served. People are really impatient, people expect results and not only are the results not there, we're not failing because we aren't good enough, we are failing, because the HC is stubborn in his approach and doesn't get it.

I can basically sum it up to: Lose to GT in a normal way and people are upset. Lose to GT by not kneeling the ball and fumbling and it gets 25x worse. 9/10 times, we are beating ourselves. It's like having the best ingredients in the world, the best A5 Wagyu, and then you overcook the meat, you overseason the salad and the beer you drink is warm. It's so unspeakably annoying.

I personally felt that Mario would get out of his way and learn from the things that didn't work at Oregon. But he didn't. Its the same **** all over again. He doesn't want to WIN, he wants to win HIS WAY. And that's why he will fail here.

Just a QB away maybe. So why didn't Mario get a portal QB after seeing how bad TVD was last year? He also said we would get a monster DL class this year, and while good, it is far from elite. CB recruiting has been bad, though Richard and the younger Brown may be good. So yeah, keep on keeping on about just a QB away that Mario da gawd failed to fix after last season's abortion
This is what you can ***** about. But not the offense we run. It’s a by product of this.

coaches have egos. ive said that all the Time. doesn't matter how much they love a place, they want to be proven right. Mario wants to win his way no matter the OC. the person closest to Dawson on here has said this doesn't resemble anything close to what he wants to run. hopefully he has an intervention this offseason. the D is ready imo to compete. they've been great all conference slate.

“This team should be 9-1”

“This team is two plays away from one loss”

“If we just kneel, we are blah blah blah”

Well guess what. None of that **** happened and we are 6-4
we are who we are. we won 2 50-50 OT games down double digits at home that easily could have been losses. got blown out twice. on top of that, the QB change didnt stop the coaches from going into an offensive shell. they play for OT to grind it out vs going for wins. its all fake tough guy talk.

Randy Shannon was a cane too. Shannon is great as a coordinator but not a good head coach. Some coaches are nothing better then coordinators and unfortunately that appears to be the case for Mario also.
He even coached those linebackers last night!

To summarize ...
This program is done ... just lower the sails and drift into the harbor.
Our days of piracy, adventure and loot are over... enjoy the tales and lore.
We lived the greatest era of Cane football.
