Exactly. Yet some people still believe that some recruits were given detailed descriptions of them months ago. "Ohhhhhh, some 16 yr old said the helmet is going all green and orange on orange on orange on orange is going to be a major part of the rotation. Must be true!!!".
What you're talking about has nothing to do with what was quoted. What does a leak have to do with what was discussed at a public event? The uniforms weren't there. People who were there said multiple helmets along with jerseys and pants were in play. In fact nothing was actually detailed besides what colors would be involved and alternate helmets. People have seen FSU's alternate helmet and new jerseys. They have a website ready to launch and the only thing that leaked was the new logo.
Because the supposed info that was disseminated that night was treated like a leak by a lot people and it has definitely been inferred that some craziness with orange and green is going to be going on with the helmets. What you're saying wouldn't nearly have caused the reaction as that's just someone saying we'll have x amount of uniform combos and 2 alternate helmets and "Oh, our colors are orange, green and white btw.". Perhaps I misinterpreted the original info but it seemed like some craziness was implied specifically to recruits that night and Pete verified it.
