Unfortunate news regarding Malek Young

View as article
This is the juju we receive for those who made fun of Randy Russell's injury (if there were any).

Getting Campbell and Surtain just become x10 times more important we are without a doubt going to end up with Bethel. sigh.

You are such a fuvkin tool dude, just wow.

The most important thing is that he is not paralyzed, that he can walk and that he is a young dude
with alot of years ahead of him and that he will be able to run around with his kids when that chapter
of his life comes, if it hasn't already.

Horrible, a sobering revelation. Hope Malek stays strong, has a full recovery and is able to enjoy life. Thank you for what you’ve given to The U and to us as fans.

Prayers out to Malek and his family. Even happier Mike Jackson is back now with this awful news

When did it happen??

I think it happened on Wisky's KOR after our 1st TD.

He was down the field as a gunner, one of Wisky's players blocked Carter into the back of the legs of the Wisky player Young was engaged with, they both fall, but Young falls head first.

Assuming thats' the play, it was just an unfortunate sequence of events...sucks.

make room for him on staff in an analyst role.

eventually he can become a coach.

assuming thats the path he wants to take.

******* idiot.

The good news is he came out of the woodworks to have one of the more impressive seasons a DB has had here in years. He had some moments that he will carry with him for the rest of his life, as will his fans and family.

Devastating for the football team, but he had a magical season. Best of luck to the young man, he put on a show this year.

These young men scarifice a lot to play the game they love and the game we fans love to watch. God bless him.

**** man, hate to see this happen to a kid. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Just shows you can't take any moment for granted. You never know when it can all be taken away from you.

Just awful. :blue:

I feel horrible for the kid. Malik always will be 100% Cane and part of the brotherhood for life. Kid gave it all to this program. I hope he will be able to walk and move around normally. He will finish his education here and go on to great things. Prayers for him and his family.
