This is how you get better is by calling each other out for stuff, and I'm going to call you guys out. We need to be supporting one another. We need to be lifting each other up. That's what a team's about,'" Fuller said. "I think this team has struggled, and that's been part of it.

"We really just need to build that team camaraderie where they can all lean on one another. It was an adjustment going from that team mentality where -- hey, we're all here supporting one another -- and I just wanted to bring that to this team."

As I posted other day “ there’s a bunch of guys in that locker room that can kick better than her, there’s a bunch of former high school kickers and punters on that campus better too”. Today the kids are saying that lol, duh. Anyone that’s played knew that , and knew what this was. Fact is they’re cool with losing , anyone that goes there knows the deal , they’ll get beat on for four years and leave with a great free education. But even they knew this was ridiculous.

But this is the new era we live in. It’s all fake virtue signaling , look at me , look how great I am , fake *** ****.

Btw, any other time it’s “ but they’re just kids , the poor kids”. Hypocrisy at its best.

The message is that the administration doesn't give a **** about their program or players and are willing to use to the program as a prop.

I wish it had happened at Forfeit State or UiF.

If it happened at Miami, the board would be rightly excoriating the admin, AD, and staff.

People are comparing him to a freaking goalie on a soccer team that’s a woman who’s god awful. I’m actually saying it’s idiotic to act like he’s on the same level as a her. Which idiots here have did multiple times in this thread.

I’m not rattled , I just find it idiotic people are celebrating this , then ripping the kids for rightfully calling this out. She did nothing but get preferential treatment for being a woman to get clicks and social media attention for the open minded college.

It’s a much bigger problem than wins, losses and a score.

What’s sad is you’re too slow to see it, then again from reading you’re post the last few months I’m not shocked to see you poo pooing this.

I just miss you posting in every thread there’ll be no football season and we’ll all be dead by 2021. Good times.

My assumption is that Vanderbilt provides scholarships to players as ever other school does. Or are they competing in the SEC like a division III school? If so they should just join the Ivy League.
 
Also, I'm about 87% positive that her "squib kick" was negotiated so that there wouldn't be an actual live kick return, thus keeping her out of harms way and saving her (and Vandy) from further embarrassment.

Can you imagine the backlash if you let a girl kick the ball off and it was taken back for a TD and/or she got blasted during the return. Their whole PC stunt would've backfired.

Makes this whole thing even more pathetic.

Football players mad at someone getting preferential treatment. Thats ironic. Life is full of people getting preferential treatment and privilige. Get over it.

Did even half the games get played this year? Lol.

Just because you think you’ve taken the red pill, doesn’t mean your perspective is beyond reproach.

Most people (ie - the common thought) saw the girl squib kick and shrugged. The prevailing thought was not that this token gesture finally destroyed the American patriarchy, nor was it “oh no, the meritocracy of sport has just suffered a fatal blow.” As with everything in life, the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.

Do you think scholarships are just handed out to anyone that asks for one? Or are there not certain requirements that student-athletes must meet in order to remain on scholarship? Like, say (at a minimum), play in football games that make the school millions of dollars.

They EARN most of their preferential treatment. They're talented, dedicated and good at what they do. They bring tons of money into their school.

This person was GIVEN preferential treatment because they have a ******.
