Ty Simpson (is not yet in the portal)

Yup, much better defense this time around. Let’s hope for our sake he doesn’t (as I hop in an uber to the airport bound for Phoenix 🙌🏻).

Some of those throws against UGA were virtually unguardable.
Agreed. Safe travels. I hope you get to sit next to Abella Danger.

To be fair, we said that this time last year about this years class and they all imploded. Allar. Neuismmier. Clubnik. Probably some more
Sure, but the pool of potential QBs that could play themselves into high draft picks is much deeper next year. Depending on what Moore and some other guys do, there’s 10-12 guys that could put themselves into contention to be drafted in the top rounds.

Seems like he was a bama kid at heart and liked by the coaches as well so this makes things easier all around. Bama gets to move on to the young gun which they want anyway (more upside / keeps him from transfering). Simpson gets a nice farewell and leaves a good guy. Then he just has to say his recent draft projections were pointing in the wrong direction and decided he needs to come back and find another year somewhere.

Or he goes NFL and its pray Emory sells his soul to the devil for more talent. Eff it, lets just win the **** natty this year so anything else is just gravy

He loses nothing by declaring for draft too…all it does is make Miami, Tennessee and others overbid as the portal pool of QBs shrinks by the day.

I would lean he comes back, where I’m not sure but hope it’s here.
How much NIL are talking here for him to return? At least $6m?

I do think this situation is slightly different given how weak the QB pool is this year, but imo unless he gets a top 15-20 grade, he'd made more money coming back to school.

Are they? There will always be desperate/stupid teams. This is the league that took Mitch Trubisky first overall based on one year as a starter…
Teams will (and many already have) figured out that experience in college is a huge predictor of success in the NFL.

Sorsby got around 5 I think (no sources, just me reading and guessing). Demond is getting offered around 6 (decent work source). I think he could command similar/ a little less than Sorsby.

Brother, honest question, did you sincerely read my post? I clearly said "if another big year".....implying that if Mensah and Mestamaker do have big years (unlike the guys you mentioned), they must be considered for the QB class for 2027 Draft.
Just highlighting it could be the opposite as well. It could turn into this years draft again. Not sure why your getting so defensive

Moore may be leaning on coming back to school which makes Simpson the 2nd QB and he has had some good performances this year and if he plays well at senior bowl or one of those bowl games he can have a team fall in love with him. I would go pro and get that top 10 draft pick money

They don’t get those kinda of grades. Just round one, round 2/3 or day three.

No team is spending a precious first round pick on simpson. He is not viewed as a franchise qb at the moment regardless of how weak the QB class is.

He is coming back to school.
