Two biggest takeaways

Our oline has improved its run blocking and conditioning. Pass pro. Not so much

Uab did give up 6 per on the run vs. Directional flyover too...

King was off on passing. Full stop. It's okay to admit

Uabs dline was good. Full stop. Its okay to admit

Lashley called a ton of runs, not as many rpos, which if I am wrong see above.

WRS are what they are. Same as they were.

Our dbs....blades wasnt horrible. Ivey was. Shocker. We have a coaching and talent problem. It real.

Blake is blake. Overthinker and lacks cbs. Their wrs were running free too often.

Am off the rumph train rn.

Lbs sucked on run once the dline was broken.

Dline defended run pretty well.

Our rbs are great

Kicking. Yes.

Told u f#$&ers cis would be hair on fire midway through third.

Vegas got this dead on.

Not stoked, not mad.

We better score alot vs. UL through the air too...

We don't clean it up, not so sure we can ...

6-5 or 7-4. Standing by it.

You nailed it!!!!

The Good:
King is electric. He can run like a power 5 back. He has an ultra quick release, and he’s accurate. He can throw outs like no QBs we’ve had since Kaaya. He missed a couple deep and was a little late on the dink and dunk but it will come together. Perry looked great throwing the short pass in mop up duty. Overall, UM should be fun to watch because we finally have a real QB.
The RBs are crazy good. Cam is making the edge and breaking tackles. The rooster will be a star if they start running circles and screens rather than up the gut. He’s the most talented since Duke.
Nesta, Phillips, and Roche are hungry and straight beasts. The DL is better than last year. Nesta was bullying their senior OLs that outweighed him. He’s putting it all together. Roche is as advertised. He plays with a chip and that’s contagious. Phillips is fast AF and has zero disregard for his personal well being. I can see why he gets banged up. The weight he put on should do wonders. The aggressive nature of these 3 is old school UM.
have a real kicker. The ball comes off his leg like a 12 gauge.

The Bad:
McCloud is supposed to be fast. He looked slow on some plays and took bad angles on others. Hopefully someone else starts by FSU.
Frierson at striker isn’t the answer. Talented physically but doesn’t get it upstairs.
The OL couldn’t get push. That could be partially because UAB could actually have a decent DL. I’m just not seeing enough to be confident we can dominate above average teams. They may have grown up but are they really talented?

The Ugly:
Ivey is the worst starting CB at UM I can remember. He doesn’t jam at the line, is slow to recover, and can’t flip his hips. I don’t see how he’s going to be even serviceable.
The WRs can’t get any separation, even on crossing routes. It’s not one guy here, it’s all of them.
If I didn’t know better, CMR called the offense himself tonight. I hope it was vanilla play calling on purpose and not what we will see the rest of the season. The 3 straight middle runs in a row and then punt in the 3rd could have let UAB back in the game. It was ultra conservative. Let’s have some fun out there from here on out.

1. We have a QB.
2. Our backs are much better than our wide receivers.
Agreed, but let’s not over look OUR OL is WORSE then last year! Is that even possible from an OL that gave up 10+ sacs in two games last year.

Positives
King, RBs, TEs, K&P all very good. DEs didn’t come across as elite but also very good. Safeties weren’t tested, assuming that’s a good sign. K Smith flashed but still a project. Lashlee”s up tempo was fun to watch, not the pull your fingernails out with pliers torture that was Dan Enos” offense.

Negatives
No go-to WR will be a problem. OL now no longer worst in ACC but still bottom half. LBs can thump but are slow and stiff, and McCloud still getting washed out by linemen after 4 years, smh. Ivey shouldn’t be starting at CB but who is better? Nice to see Pope settle down on returns. But he scared the crap out of me for most of the first half. Baker is not Miami DC material.

If you can’t see this OL is hot steaming pile of s@it, I don’t know what to tell you. Anyone who’s not blind can see this OL is beyond awful. If not for a supper mobile QB n scrabbles and three NFL backs, every play would be a TFL. Yet, you can’t see it.
