Agree with this. Imho, Mario probably thought the O was just going through its growing pains and would grow as the season progressed. Losing to MTSU requires a top to bottom reevaluation and additions to the playbook.
 
Said it after MTSU. Jake didn't do enough to take the job. He was ok but he still didn't look like he was ready to be the starter. Just because you guys are done with TVD doesn't mean the staff is. If Jake starts and struggles you guys will turn against him too. It's not the QBs, it's Gattis. Isn't it weird our OC isn't a QB guru? That's not the norm.

He was a 1st round pick and heisman potential 1 month ago. Yes, he's had a BAD season with gattis scheme and no WR's. You give him 1 more game after a bye week with the scheme completely tailored to him. He succeeds, lets roll. He bombs, you pull him by mid 2nd quarter. That simple. WAY smarter than pulling him now and going 100% all in on garcia out of the gate

Completely agree. Also, if TVD had Rambo and Harley on this team, we're a 3-1 team at least, and there's a big chance we beat A&M too. We have the weakest WR room we've had in a very long time.

Let's hope TVD shows out the rest of the year..best case scenario is for him to leave after this year.

He did start only 8 games last year when his stock skyrockets.

If I'm Mario I'm taking all the TVD's headlines, draft projections, accolades stats from last year etc, sitting it on Gattis AND Ponce's desk with a simple note of "what changed? Find a way to fix it."

TVD deserves another chance but yes he will have a short leash, if he has another game like Middle Tennessee then you yank him for good which probably means he will transfer, I wouldn't blame him either.
