And, of course, it's been way more than eventually with this program.
BTW - Congratulations on getting your first career win as a head coach yesterday. Cal is no easy team to beat.

And, of course, it's been way more than eventually with this program.

There are some really bad takes itt from some good posters.
Spot on brother. Spot ******* on.Maybe if a guy goes awol for days you bench him? Rather than putting him out there and losing to Fiu. Maybe not having a guy quit them allowing him
back on the team ,then cry about culture as an excuse. Like it’s the previous coaches fault
This culture is set , we play guys that repeatedly mess up, not just one time, so don’t act like i’m overreacting. Off field and on field. You are setting a precedence.
There’s a reason Miami leads the nation in missed tackles , has horrible penalties and play undisciplined. Former players talk about this all the time, it’s been a cancer here. But right when manny realizes his *** is on the line magically he says “ I’ve got to start taking pt from guys”. No? Shocking development. I‘ve seen Nesta and others get idiotic penalties too many times to count , a lot on third and longs amd guess what? They always stay in the game.
When there’s no threat of losing pt kids will always play undisciplined or careless. I’m not breaking some news here. The thing that I find the craziest is how many people here only see a badly coached team when they’re losing. Miami is one of the most undisciplined badly coached teams in America , a few close wins doesn’t change that. It would still be factual if we’d pulled out UNc and Uva and sat 7-2. Talent can be a deodorant , but bad coaching will always show in the end. Which it constantly has.
Ball security is no different than any other fundamental that’s coached.
Ok so are fumbles not part of the game? Where is there some rule that says University of Miami players are exempt from fumbling but if they do it's caused because of coaching?2 fumbles lost 2 picks vs Michigan State. Close enough.
Exactly. They'll blame the coaches when a player fumbles but dont give credit when a player has a career day. I just bring this up because if they're saying coaching is so bad then how come a receiver not wanted by Oklahoma can come to UM and have a 210 yard game and a red shirt freshman come in and must rip apart other teams defenses??? I didn't even mention the career game Rooster had. Yes they're are things that have to be fixed but give the guys their **** flowers for working their a$$ off and not folding and stickimg together and winningNot sure how you can blame coaches for fumbles yesterday when we have barely fumbled all year
Ignorance is bliss. You can tell who’s never played or coached. Former players are saying the same thing but whatever. People can downvote or call it a bad take. People like yourself , @Liberty City El, @DMoney and others know the truth.Spot on brother. Spot ******* on.
Manny is an enabler you can tell
People get excited when he’s an enabler for a 4 or 5 star recruit because it fits their narrative
There’s being a “players coach” and then there’s being an enabler and Manny is the latter and it’s not good
That’s the role of an assistant coach (or as I’ve always called him a backup dancer) who plays the “good cop” not the leader of the team
It’s an attitude that has permeated the program since he’s been here (and other coaches as well of course)
In your opinion. There are some really bad takes itt from some good posters.
You can enjoy yesterday's win, enjoy the winning streak, feel positive about the young stars we have, and acknowledge this is still a very poorly coached team in a myriad ways. It doesn't have to be an either/or proposition. Manny deserves credit for getting them to show up and play hard for him but the lack of discipline and fundamentals is as glaring as ever.
lol what?In your opinion, and some others who I probably don’t care about theirs. As you shouldn't with mine.
This team consistently does what bad teams do from turning the ball over , missing tackles ,dropping passes penalties and blowing coverages every week . That's what badly coached teams do .
So the experts say “getting stripped isn’t coaching” but dropping passes is? Are y’all listening to yourselves ? Last time I checked you’re putting the ball on the ground because you aren’t fundamentally sound. Wiggins and pope stayed towards the league lead in drops, and never lost pt for multiple seasons lol. So there’s both my points in one example.
Just because we snuck some wins out doesn’t mean the issues are still aren’t there and obvious. We just won the close game. We’ll keep doing these as king as he’s here, winning some and losing some . Just like we have been, its a state of insanity.
You juat don’t become a well coached , disciplined team.
You watched GT tape to know that punching balls out is something their defense routinely does?Yup.
Furthermore, Georgia Tech players were actively going after and trying to punch those balls out—obviously something their defense does, yet our coaches didn't hammer into our kids' heads to focus more than normal on securing the ball against an aggressive defense like that.
Absolutely on coaches. These kids rolled in ill prepared after two "big" wins—a staple under Diaz.
Lol I had a stroke in the middle of that. I was hooking up a trailer to my pickup as I wrote that.lol what?
sounds like you’re trying to argue things nobody is actually disagreeing with . Nobody is trying to tell you the coaches are great or practices are run great so why you keep trying to argue that point ? Specifically AHurt was saying you can’t sit there and blame coaches for poor performance in regards to fumbling , while turn around and give absolutely zero credit when guys have a career day type performances , like 4 and 11 did . That has nothing to do with how practices are run, who Manny enables or doesn’t enable , etc. I don’t like Manny either but it’s clear yal let your dislike for him cloud your judgment. When they play good it’s players when they play bad it’s coaches ? That type of logic is partly how we get to where we are now . Players blaming coaches instead of realizing their sht stinksIn your opinion.

Aa long as we play this way we’ll be what we’ve been , a 6-8 win team.
You juat don’t become a well coached , disciplined team over night.
You must be new here friend , theres people arguing a lot of the things I’ve mentioned.sounds like you’re trying to argue things nobody is actually disagreeing with . At what point do players get the blame for letting the ball drop out of THEIR arms . Not Manny’s arms . Not Lashlee arms . Theirs . They don’t have the brain function to see with their own eyes GT trying to punch the ball out repeatedly from their teammates ? If they need coaches to TELL them to secure the ball against a team actively trying to punch it out , there’s a problem with the player not the coach. “Hold on to the **** ball” is basic, day one ****. These guys have been playing football all their lives and yal sitting here saying they need to be TOLD to hold onto the ball ? It really ain’t that deep . Arroyo had 4 guys going for the ball but he lost it because he wasn’t focused ? I’m almost certain he was focused on nothing else but holding onto the ball , and just couldn’t
Regardless of whether there’s playing time being threatened or not , these players should not need to be TOLD that it’s bad to fumble, that ball security is of utmost importance . If they need to be told that they shouldn’t be playing football for Miami
. Players need to be held accountable just like coaches do .
You must be new here friend , theres people arguing a lot of the things I’ve mentioned.
I will never agree with people saying coaching isnt to blame for multiple fumbles. There is quite a few people saying the opposite. Well coached team continue to make these these mistakes , from fumbles , drops , missed tackles and penalties. I’ve see all of that improve instantly with good coaching that demands accountability.
Fumbles is just another issue to add to the laundry list of issues with fundamentals and discipline. I guess it’s just a freak occurrence all of this continues to happen under this staff?
I’ll die on this hill, as will people that’s been around the game. At this point I keep repeating myself and it’s wasting all of our time.
That first cutback really burned me up. I will agree that is something the coaches need to ride him about, and hard. I thought he was going to score until he got cute. The elite preparation just isn’t there.
An elite coach would have been harping on this and working to get it corrected.
Also with Rambo, how many times this year has he tried to cut back on that play and it’s never worked.
You can clearly see from my join date that I’m not new here, lol . Idk why yal constantly throw that out there . Yes there are people saying that , but as I said AHurt was asking you specifically about fumbling being coaches fault , and you went into all the other stuff , that he wasn’t currently arguing . He didn’t say anything about coaching being good or practices being run well and you responded talking about that anyways . And then called him a slurper as you put other peoples opinions into his mouthYou must be new here friend , theres people arguing a lot of the things I’ve mentioned.

Those 3 fumbles are literally the only fumbles we’ve lost this year . We’ve had 9 othersHave we had a fumbling problem this season outside last game?
Only fumbles I remember are from King taking sacks from the top of my head
I didn’t watch UNC game
I’m not repeating myself anymore. Some people just can’t wrap their head around it so why waste any more of our time?Have we had a fumbling problem this season outside last game?
