Tutu Atwell

It's pretty well known from their coaches who we target & who we don't. Of my list, Burgess is about the only one I know we went after.
I just know I've heard a lot of BS stories. Guys who telegraphed wanting to decommit, then suddenly there was a problem on our end allowing them to walk away and blame us. To assume these kids are all on the level requires you to start off with the idea they are. If you don't set out to see Miami fcking up in recruiting, some of these stories start to sound fishy.

Yeah, there are talented kids we didn't pursue, but every school can say that. If you really think there are dozens, I think you've got an ax to grind.

So he is making a point that the same posters who are upset he didn't come here, would have been the same upset if we offered him at the time with an offer list like that.

In 2018, we signed Wiggins, Pope, Hightower, and Ezzard. He wanted to play QB at the time and was 155lbs...
Serves him right.

Didn't they carry him off the field on Saturday?

Russell Maryland had one offer to Indiana State!
Jimmie Jones had no offers when we found him in Okeechobee (didn't play football his senior year in HS) and ended up later signing a free agent contract when he left the Dallas Cowboys that I believe might have been a record for defensive tackles.

Not every school has the benefit of exposure to these late fliers. Miami has a built in advantage of local scouting, relationships, camps. We are arguing two different points. I get that these kids want Miami to offer first, string them along & then claim they gotta get the bag. That's a different discussion. I'm referring to lower tier recruits that have been identified by local posters & ignored by our staff.

*Dozens was in reference to since I've followed, not each year.

That's it. If you don't follow recruiting then how do you know we don't show these unnamed kids love?
I don't follow it obsessively. I know who our commits are for the most part. I don't know where an Ole Miss ranks or what the TOP 100 national list looks like. I did when I was on Rivals or 247. We might show them love now. We didn't use to.

Other than the 80 yard sprint in the first quarter what did you see?

I see 47 receptions for 810 yds. & 8 TDs...more than double the production that Dee Wiggins has had throughout His career, and as many TDs as Jeff Thomas has had during His career. But naaaaaah, according to you we don't need that type of production, right?...LOL

Wow. Another CIS flavor of the day. 5ft 9in, 165 lbs and wanted to play qb here. Some people seem to bring up anything to ***** about. Plenty of authentic stuff to ***** about without utter BS
Did other schools (like Louisville) lie to him and tell him he would play QB?

Without a clip Atwell has a very pedestrian game against us. He also had a fumble that led directly to us scoring a TD. The kid is fast, good for him, but who would he be playing over right now? He wouldn’t. He would be another fade county malcontent because we would’ve lied to him about playing QB.

Remember only the home team gets held to different standards with the local communities

**** it. Add him to the 10 touches a game file. Do it now.

******* Enos

Can't compare unless you put Wiggins or Thomas on Louisville with same QB, surrounding cast, coaches, system or put Atwell on our team.

If we had Atwell, would he have had same production at UM?

You can't say that with certainty. It's conjecture.

I'm ok with getting OOS but when they are obviously not better then a local I'm going to be mad. Am I wrong sometimes? **** Yeah I can't see the future but we all have different takes and I'm ok with someone feeling different. I'm tripping still about the Flagg take and letting Hyppo go to UMD. But I'm waiting till NSD before I go full nope on recruiting. Do I have questions though? Yes
You sound like an idiot here... talent lives outside of S.Florida....

Some of the best players to EVER wear a U are not from the fabled “STATE OF MIAMI” alot of you slurp on

Tutu was a miss but kid was **** bent on a shot at QB and the staff knew straight up lying to the kid could damage relations way more than being able to always say “we loved him as a slotWR but not QB and looks like we were right!!”

Not too play no **** QB..same argument ppl in my city had about the shoelace and Powell recruitment...shoelace was a playmaker but adamant about playing QB (Rich Rod). UF wanted him as athlete with urban..UGA same, Tenn same..Powell wanted to be A RB but Miami and FSU like him at DB. I’m not sure if FSU even gave him a committable offer. But I know Miami wanted him as athlete in the mold of corn elder..Tutu wanted to play QB..Louisville took him as a athlete probably sold him on the idea of playing QB..same story with treon and others
Whose shoelace? Just barely remember a Powell who spurned us for UF never to be heard from again.

Wouldn't you after watching Rosier play? But terms like "**** bent" is what we use to make ourselves feel better, I don't think the kid wanted to play QB that bad. It's OK to say we f ucked up.
Got it... If it makes you feel better to think we simply dropped the ball fine.

I know we would have taken him seeing as we have Harley and pope currently who are of similar size.

Kid saw Lamar at UL and thought he could do that too

Isn't our goal to catch up with Clemson? Tutu Atwell, who is being called a "gem" in this thread, had three catches for 37 yards against Clemson.
So let’s not take a very productive player cause there’s a chance he may have a bad game against Clemson???? Man this site is full of cant get rights!!!!
