This! Dude was recruited during the Lamar Jackson crazyness at UL, he wanted to go there and be the next Lamar.

That is a weak excuse. We haven’t maxed out our roster additions in ages. Richt let scholarships get down into mid 70s or worse before counting walk-ons.

Not quite. The 25 new counters is a rule. I do not believe there is any limit on how they divide between forward and back, because they still count either way. You can’t get over 25 in a year.

The real limit they added recently was initial counters now is measured by LOIs, not kids who enroll. So if you sign a kid and he doesn’t get in, that costs you a spot. That put an end to grey shirting and made kids who are at risk of not qualifying a much riskier bet for a school.

The Canes where interested in him at WR if I'm not mistaken. However, Uncle Puke was saying the Canes need to offer him as a QB and went on this rant about how the Canes would win every game with him at QB. Yet he ***** on the Canes and not a peep about other programs who refused to offer him at QB.

Fans on this site would have rioted in the streets if Miami let a guy with that offer list commit. Especially one who is 5’9 demanding he play at QB.

I don’t think Richt let it get down to in the 70’s. I think we got so low when Golden was here in combination with the sanctions & it taking 3 yrs. Richt just never really got the numbers back up. Maybe I’m wrong.

So? You evaluate players on their own merits and what you see out of them, not who else has offered them.
