Tremain Mack

No. The long snapper had a tell that allowed him to guess the snap. Look at the overhead and you will see the snapper drop his hips to get the power to snap it. Good snappers get their power just from his arms.

I blocked a bunch of punts in HS by getting a similar jump on the tell and not once was called offsides because of it.
I just went back and watched the video. Man you are spot on. That is an incredible piece of information that you used for yourself, and Tremain used it here. Too often we call someone a great athlete and in doing so we don’t give credit to how smart a player is. This is smart

Not positive, but I think I saw our last OL coach on the WVU sideline as a GA by the HC right after we blocked it

Chuck was the best STs coach in UM History...as well as the best DB coach we've ever had...

That's diff than being an all pro. I'm just saying, the guy had all of the talent to be a great NFL player.
Again....he was an All Pro in 2000....it's not different....he is the Bengals All time leader in several categories till this day.

And, he's low key one of the best athletes to come through UM. Iirc, he was a 10.3 100m guy.

Tony Gaiter was on that team, ran a 10.4 in HS. Had a couple of more guys on that team that team with speed like that. Now some of are fAnZ are in awe because Mallory ran a 12.9 in HS and **** LOL, nOo FaNz man.

He WAS a Pro Bowler in 2000....

My son-in-law is a practically a pro bowler he has 750 plus 300 scores. I think his average is 236 .
I’ve watched him bowling and when you watch basically a pro caliber bowler it’s really a treat.

He does strike after strike when I bowl with him it’s hysterical the difference.

You're just arguing to argue now.

He was never an all-pro. The all-pro team is different than the pro bowl team. And, he never played for the Broncos. He was on the Bengals. He made the pro bowl in 1999 as a specialist.

My point that's seemingly lost on you is that he had the ability to be an all pro NFL player. He was THAT talented.

He gets overlooked because of the safeties that came after him (mainly ER and ST). But, make no mistake about it, T-Mack was a dude.

I'm with you. Aside from watching the program's overall downfall, the "slowing" of UM is an abomination.

Even guys like Jonathan Harris who, though not a star, could run. And, don't get me started on the speed, or lack thereof, that's been on display at the linebacker position for years.

It honestly makes my head want to explode. Where's the speed? The explosive guys?!!!!

I think the we'll get faster at some positions under Mario. But, I have my doubts about overall team speed given the style of offense that he's **** bent on installing.

Also, in fairness to Mallory, he ran a 11 flat 100 meters in h.s. That's solid for a tight end. I think that the previous staphs put too much weight on him.

I was close friends with Tremain...my cousin was his position coach at UM, both on STs and as a DB...I don't need any lessons from you about Tremain whatsoever....and again, he WAS in the Pro-Bowl in 2000....now go sit your *** in the corner, and know who tf you're talking to, before running your mouth....

I'm not sure why you insist on going down this path. I'm losing brain cells explaining this to you.

Read it for yourself here.

And, again, T Mack played for the Bengals, not the Broncos. That's undisputable. He doesn't own records for a team he never suited up for..

Again, making the pro bowl does not make one an all pro. the pro bowl team and the all pro team are different.

The 85 Bears won their Super Bowl against the Pats in January of 1986. They're not the '86 Bears. They're the '85 Bears.

T-Mack made the pro bowl in 1999. The game was played in Feb of 2000.

I don't care who you know. You obviously don't now wtf you're taking about.

Ryan Clement played with a 3rd degree shoulder separation. Ryan Covington could not play since he had a concussion. We stole a win. We won on pure determination.

You are right about that seperated shoulder of Clement and that Scott Covington was not avaiable.
Clement wore a special brace on his non-throwing shoulder in order to limit rotation and pain. Insane toughness. Extraordinary.

I believe Covington was out due to a lung infection. I have no idea the details, maybe pleurisy. But he couldn't breathe properly. He returned late vs Temple.

Thank you for precising what happened to Scott and I still have the paper magazines, so technically I could read what happened, lol, but anyway u are right about Ryan's toughness, he was a fighter and we really needed him badly that night.

It was Tremain Mack's birthday yesterday. It is a really tough time to be a canes fan right now but this was one one of the best turnaround finishes ever for the canes football program. 26 years later and I still love watching it.

Enjoy!

My pops and I were reminiscing today about all the great games we witnessed from the U and we forgot about this one!!!
