Trayone Gray On His Way!!

I like Gray a lot but at this point as a WR prospect he is pretty far behind Lane, Dixon, and Rudolph.

Gray is a great athlete and has a great feel for the game but he isnt a polished WR at all. not really comparable to those guys IMO

I hope he can come in and help at RB. we desperately need some depth there.

theres Duke, then a true FR and a FB. doesnt look good

Lane isn't a polished WR prospect either

Gray is a much more polished and natural football player than Lane. And it ain't close.

we all saw with FSU what kind of damage a tall athletic receiver can do. We were trying to get from with Lane or Griffen but none of which ended up in Miami.

look for David Njoku to be a big part of our O next few years.. this kid can jump and with that height...just put the corner of the end zone high and let him jump.

Gray won't be a RB unless he learns how to lower his shoulders and run lower to the ground. As it is, based on his tape, he runs like the broad side of a barn. A very fast and hard to bring down side of a barn, but the side of a barn nonetheless

Lane is way more polished then gray at wr what are are y'all smoking ?

So was Gray not ranked high because of playing QB? Or just not going to camps? I know rankings don't necessarily matter in the end but I was just curious as I'm not from South Florida.

It was not going to camps but it was mostly his grades more than anything. Most big time programs didnt give him the time of day because they didnt think he was gonna get in, you couple that with him playing on a meh team and no camp visits, which means no exposure, and you got the ranking he got. 247 was the only site that had him as a solid 4 star, which is exactly where he should be, I still dont see the next level athlete many on here see, but he could play and excel at any program.

Everyone has such a boner for this guy, I don't get it. His tape looks good not great. His speed on film concerns me.

Completely agree, especially about the speed. He has adequate speed, it really should not be an issue for his size, but he is in no way a blazer like some are making him out to be.

Yeah, he's getting quite the paul bunyan-esque reputation around here. I can see him being great on STs (coverage unit) his freshman year but that's about it.

even the "skill" positions in football don't really need that much training of those said skills.

being a great athlete will take care of a lot in football. skills will come.

soccer, basketball, baseball, and hockey require far more training of skills in order to play at higher level. athleticism alone will not get you anywhere.

He is pulling away from BTW, Northwestern, Central and Norland defenses in the highlights. I'll take that!

Lol y'all really think gray a better wr then lane. Lol true homers

Lane is very average. I hated he was a UM lean last year. I was absolutely excited he went to to tally. Not saying Gray is better , but lane isn't dynamic and his play makes me yawn.
